A male employee on my visit 5/30/2022 around 530ish pm was horrible!!!! Long wait time to order, he took a long time to respond to a simple question (do you have honey) in all general. He kept rolling his eyes for every question almost with every customer. This employee has a (I don’t care to be here attitude) the manager came to Help and was awesome! But this other individual needs more customer service skills! We asked for spicy chicken, he gave us original and didn’t care at all when we mentioned it!!! Horrible!!!!
I'm a Popeyes fan. This store was not the best though. And it was well after the lunch rush. There was 1 straw left at the filthy drink station, salts napkins all were nearly empty. I understand maybe they had a rush . Took almost 20 minutes to get our 2 chicken sandwichs but they were real good. Just no "thanks, sorry for the wait" because I can understand things happen. Maybe they had a staff shortage that day. I'd go back a second time
No more green beans, just dry biscuits and chicken. 3 piece dinner was a wing, a thigh, a leg, rice and beans for over $11.00 dollars. I watched the staff and not one employee cleaned the counter or picked up paper, but decided to have a conversation with other staff, while customers waited for their food. FOOD DELIVERY DRIVERS : I watched an uber eats driver wait 25 minutes for a large order that they didn't have ready and then Popeyes got angry when he asked them to check the order only to discover they had forgotten the coleslaw and biscuits and didn't apologize. Popeyes needs more spinach to stay in business.
We visited for an early lunch on a Lent Friday. Had the classic Cajun Flounder sandwich and the Shrimp Tackle Box. Both were excellent. Better fish sandwich than all other fast food restaurants. Flounder was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside plus the fish fillet was bigger than the large bun. 8 crunchy, tender shrimp in the tackle box with your choice of dipping sauces but we chose Creole Sauce plus you get a biscuit and any one side. We had the coleslaw which was better than the coleslaw at KFC. Staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. Restaurant was clean. Service was fast. Recommend this Popeye's highly.
Got my Popeyes fish and chicken sandwiches and THXS great snack esp if traveling and need a stretch..photos from Palm Desert California Plaza
The lobby was closed at 835pm. The wait was long. The food received was gross. Mac and cheese was a yellow melted tire. The chicken was at least 4 hours old. The biscuit was hard as stone. No napkins were offered nor in the bag. This was an absolutely horrible experience ruining the Popeye franchise. My stomach now hurts and my faith broke by a bad experience. That was really bad.
Online order was to be ready at 5:41. Arrived on time and there were 3 customers waiting in the order line. The staff took care of those 3 customers and by now it was 6:00. Those 3 customers got their food and left. We asked about our order and they said they were working on it. We finally got our order at 6:10. Seems that ordering online is not the way to go. The restaurant did not look clean.
Honestly, although the employees, with few exceptions are all very cool; I can't say that I've ever had a seamless visit to Popeyes. I am the youngest of six kids and in a way, going to get food from this location reminds me of our kitchen growing up.In a word, there seems to always be "drama". An example would be the time they ran out of their hit sandwich at 4:00pm, which around here is the start of dinner time and I can tell you that it turned into a mad house as one customer after another wanted, err...INSISTED on ordering the sandwich for dinner. But the closest anyone got to tasting America's trendiest meal was the pictures on the overhead menu 7 feet away.On another visit to this location I walked into a few people who were discussing the awful lady behind the counter who screwed up everyone's order AFTER what one patronage described as the most frustrating experience they had ever had. " she didn't know the menu, couldn't tell them what different meals included. And with the help of 4 people, she appeared to finally understand what a side order meant, at least well enough to explain why they only had 1 option due to supply issues.".So greasy chicken and coleslaw was the decision all had made for them by management at Popeyes....
Luckily my wait was only 20 minutes in the drive thru lanes, but the chicken was the worst ever from Popeye’s. Seems like it had been under the heat lamp all afternoon, fries old, biscuits hard but Mac and cheese was half way edible. I drove 25 miles just to get to the nearest Popeye’s, but will not do that again! The Krispy Chicken from the Mobil gas station in Palm Springs had this chicken beat hands down. Choose it or Raising Cains!
I was craving a hot & spicy chicken sandwich and found Popeyes. I was hoping they would be my "go to" for my spicy chicken fix. It was a disaster. The lobby was closed due to short staffing. I've dealt with this before so I head to the drive through. And I wait ... for 20 minutes - before I order. I'm trapped because cars are behind me. I order the spicy chicken combo and finally get to the window. I pay and head to the parking lot to eat my fries. (I must my fries hot). The tiny bag of fries is filled with tepid clumps of potatoes. I cannot even eat the rest of the one fry I tried and I drop it back into the bag. How long were they sitting on a rack?I put the straw in my Diet Coke. I wince when I take a sip since I was expecting one flavor and was hit with something completely unexpected. I had to take another sip to try and figure out what I was drinking. It was slightly carbonated and Diet Coke-ish. I couldn't drink it.Could the sandwich be the same as my experience with the fries and drink? I pulled it out of the bag and it was a lukewarm. It tasted like a chicken sandwich with some cajun spice. It wasn't hot. It wasn't spicy. In all, I spent $7.99 plus tax to wait 25 minutes and eat a pretty bad meal. This was my third visit to a Popeyes and I have yet to be impressed. It is now my last visit.
