Wow!!! Mitchâs on El Paseo was everything we had hoped for to celebrate our 35 year Wedding Anniversary. We are from out of town and know zero about local restaurant choices. We knew that we wanted a mid-casual place with that fine dining feel. We searched the reviews for top 10 Steak and Seafood fare in the Palm Springs area and found Mitchâs. The reviews were all high marks and the overall comment was âExceptionalâ. For us the experience wasâExceptionalâ. When we arrived for our reservation we were greeted with âHappy Anniversaryâ and complimentary glasses of Champagne. Wow!!! We felt like special guests right when we walked in. We were seated immediately and staff attended to us in a timely but not rushed manner. We really wanted a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and we definitely found it. Our server was a delightful young lady named Mallory. She was very attentive and made great suggestions which made the experience altogether amazing. Five Stars for Mallory, we loved her wonderful personality. On our special night out we wanted a very special restaurant and we were very fortunate that we found Mitchâs. One final note that made us feel like we were special was that Mitch himself greeted us when we walked in and he also made the effort to come to our table and make sure our experience was everything we had hoped for. Well Mitch, to you and your staff we canât say thank you enough. Our Anniversary at your restaurant was âExceptionalâ in every way. We canât wait for our next visit.

Mitch's restaurant in one of best fine dining restaurants in the Palm desert/Palm Springs area. The menu is great. The drinks are great and the service is the best. It has one of the best outdoor dining area. They also have complementary valet parking. The bar scene is lively and great happy hour.
Weâve eaten at Mitchâs before and thoroughly enjoyed our time and dinner there. This time, however, the food was way less than mediocre. My salmon was dry and tasteless. I like my vegetables lightly cooked, but my broccolini was way underdone. The best part of my meal was the garlic rice. My husbandâs pork was really bland. The only saving part of the evening was our waitress, who was lovely and prompt, and the company of our friends.
I went with my family for dinner tonight and my experience wasnât so amazing unfortunately. I ordered food for the table and my childrenâs food came out much earlier than mine and my husbands did. Basically we didnât eat and I ended up paying for all this food that just went in the trash. When I addressed it with the server, he didnât even seem to care and even said he forgot to put one of our entrees in. I ordered appetizers that came out with the rest of the meal too and being appetizers these dishes should have come out first. I am pretty disappointed for spending all this money and not a good experience.
Been going to Mitchâs for years and always sat outside, enjoyed the ambience sitting inside for a change since it was too hot to sit outside. As always the food was excellent and the service was terrific. Canât wait to come back in the fall.
We are locals had a great experience at Mitch's. Our son was with us who is from Las Vegas and has access to some of the finest restaurants in operation. His Rib Eye Steak was perfection as was my husband's 8 oz fillet. My chicken dish was the best chicken I have had in years. The sweet potato fries and the truffle fries were terrific. Our son also had a tuna/crab sushi dish which he said was superb. We were seated in an area that was not too noisy in the downstairs area. The wait staff kept our glasses full and were attentive. All in all, a great experience and one which we will repeat.
The jumbo shrimp and scallops were so delicious, along with the vegetables served with my dish. The grilled asparagus was cooked just right. Tremendous service - which made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. I highly recommend Mitch's if you want delectable meals and excellent service.
Mitchâs was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint! We werenât super hungry so we shared a couple of sushi rolls and both were fresh and fabulous!! Canât wait to go back and try their regular menu items with a chocolate balloon cake for dessert! Apparently itâs a must have so donât eat too much for dinner.
