Picked this place by random on our way back to the bay. The reviews got us and did not disappoint the french toast was amazing! My gf had the pancakes and was full of blueberries and Karen is such a hard worker too loved her attitude and lil restaurant.If I'm ever here I'll stop by again!
We've enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Karen's for many years. And now they serve DINNER!The dinner menu is absolutely delicious and what really got us was the deserts. We don't normally order deserts. the tiramisu is absolutely out of this world AMAZING! I've had tiramisu all over the world and this beats them all (by far)!The dinner ambiance is very relaxing which is perfect for my wife and me.We highly recommend dinner at Karen's Cafe', they never disappoint ♥

Found this gem. A small cafe with friendly staff, good food and great coffee! We had the country fried steak and eggs, hash browns with cranberry toast. Wish I had taken a pic before I ate it all. Left very satisfied and full. I want to say again the coffee was GREAT!!
Very warm and friendly getting and service. Several categories from which to choose. Chose cup of soup and salads. Everything was delicious and tasted homemade. Pricing is very fair and portions most adequate. We were not rushed at all. Anxious to try dinner!

We had been hearing that this diner had a new chef for dinner and his food is outstanding! Four of us had four different entrees and licked our plates clean! My Chicken Parm and hubbies Sand Dabs were some of the best food we have had in a long time. Service was really attentive and great! It’s a diner.. so go for the food and expect a more casual surrounding. A little hard to find but just GPS it. Enjoy!
A hidden gem... And boy, do I mean hidden. Nestled in the back of a sprawling plaza, Karen's Cafe was an unexpected oasis of Palm Desert. A little tricky to find, but incredibly worthwhile once there. The owner worked the baby blue painted front with graceful ease and a warm, friendly demeanor all through a charming Polish accent. The food was quick, simple, and delicious. I would eagerly recommend the Janella's salad as a healthy and refreshing bite that will more than satisfy your cravings.All in all, if you're looking for good food in a joyful, whimsical environment- you've found the place. Thank you to the staff for a great experience!
