Went there with my 90 year old mother and my two brothers. One brother and my mom got pasta and they both thoroughly enjoyed it. My other brother got the 2 soups bowl. Cream of mushroom ? and tortilla soup. Split down the middle not mixed. And then followed with salad with grilled chicken. I on the other hand got a Margarita pizza. It was very good with the fresh mozzarella and hand chopped basil. I of course had left overs too. Pizza from here in my opinion does need to be heated up. It's just as good cold from the fridge as it is hot. My mother and 1 brother got the house Chardonnay. The other loves their strawberry lemonade. I wanted a strawberry margaritas but not a huge fan of alcohol. So I ordered a mock tail similar to the margaritas. The waitress brought me a beautiful strawberry and lime concoction with sparkling water or soda in it. Super yummy!
So, if you order by a meal delivery service and California Pizza Kitchen does not include part of your order, they blame it on the delivery service. You have to reorder the missing item and have it redelivered while everyone else is eating. I guess moral of the post, own up, eat your crow....at least. Yes, I'm the one missing my meal. Oh yea, I was refunded my other minus sales tax on food I NEVER received. Now, I get the pleasure of paying sales tax AGAIN, if I receive my food. Okay, so the restaurants confirmed that forgot to include my order, which is wonderful BUT she told me she can't refund the sales tax because the delivery service will not refund. Last time I checked sales tax went to the restaurant, NOT the delivery service am I wrong?
Picked up my order on 05/18/2022 at 7:55pm. The server came out fast so I slipped her a $5. I ordered a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom pizza with a Caesar salad. Someone should tell their cooks about food safety protocols because this food gave me an unpleasant night and morning going until the next afternoon. Shame for the other times I went there and the cooks actually made quality food.
This was the 1st time here. The pizza was really good. I waiter Joshua was also amazing
It was good, only problem I had was that we ordered bbq chicken pizza for my son, and he got an allergic reaction right away. After talking to the restaurant, they told us, WE should have informed them of his food allergies before hand, since there's a peanut Thai chicken pizza and there's food cross contamination that occurs.
First, the good news. Service was attentive and it appeared there was ample staff. Second, the ‘so-so’ news. The pizzas were good and met the CPK standard and the focaccia was hot and flavourful. Third, the bad news. The Thai Crunch Salad and the Mediterranean salads were quite awful with far too much horrible tasting dressing poured on. The worst part was the lack of cleanliness in the entire restaurant. The windows had greasy finger prints all over them, the plexiglass close to the front end looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and the vents in the ceiling were absolutely disgusting with encrusted globs of dirt and dust. SO DISAPPOINTING. There are so many places along El-Paseo, I’ll choose elsewhere next time.
We understand that the hospitality business sector is suffering as a result of COVID. Coming from a place of openness, the food service is the worst ever experienced. Upon arrival we were told if we ordered pizza it would be a 30 minute wait. We found this acceptable so we ordered pasta. After waiting 55 minutes we asked “How much longer?” and were told it was being cooked by our waitress! Woah, are you kidding?!They said the kitchen is backed up. We continued to wait. 15 minutes later it was brought to our table completely discoloured and burnt, smelling badly. Long story short after being overly patient we said we wouldn’t eat it and left. Their focus is on takeout orders not on those whom take the time to attend in person. We asked to speak to the manager, and after speaking to three individuals claiming to be “a manager” we politely gave up, and left. This restaurant is severely lacking and should be regarded as takeout only. It should be noted management needs to take necessary corrective actions.
I went to the original in Beverly Hills for years when it first opened. Interesting how it became a national chain like The Cheescake Factory, also Beverly Hills, but the food has remained consistently good and I'm always pleased with the food and drinks here. The service has been good too. I recommend if u haven't gone. Nice menu. U will like it.

Always friendly and helpful staff. Food is generally pretty good although can vary. I enjoy it most of the time and would recommend you give it a try
