Got to-go food our first night. Staff accommodated my late request. 2 nights later we ate in the bar area. Food & service were excellent, patrons were very nice - we felt very comfortable there.

Fun , lively spot -even on a weeknight. I had sand dabs, wife had fish and chips. Not the best food ever but good and the portions were huge. Had an after dinner drink at the bar. Friendly spot, service was great!
We met a couple at the pool who'd been coming to the desert for the last 20 years. She menitoned in passing that we needed to eat at this restaurant for prime rib. There were right! we made last minute reservations for 630. We had the sweetest server, she told us all about the menu but we were focused on prime rib. We all ordered the regular cut with baked potato and soup. I had the veggie beef, it was made with left over prime rib. YUM my friends had the tomato bisque. The bread basket, oh my. seriously home made, melt in your mouth. we of course had to order a refill of that bread. Our prime rib was melt in your mouth, perfectly medium rare. We enjoyed this dinner with families seated all around, lots of laughter, autographs on the walls and memories being made. This place is not to be missed. From the front of the house to the back, this is quality and tasty. Go there. you will love it
The service staff is very friendly and good at their craft. The food is outstanding with large portions. The drinks! let's just say you might have to take a nap after. They won't shortchange you on your cocktail. I understand price is going up and I don't like it. But when you get this kind of service and quality food and drink you don't mind paying the bill. Highly recommend.
Cactus Jack's is busy at all hours. Generous drinks, extensive food selections and good service. This place has been a staple in the desert for 20+. It's lasted this long because they treat guests right.
We sat at the bar and enjoyed a wonderful dinner and met some really nice people. The staff was great and very friendly. We'll be back!
We were a party of 6 and they squeezed us in to accommodate us with the caveat that we had 2 hours to complete dinner - no problem!! Worked out great and we left in plenty of time. Place has been around for a while and is well known. Food was varied and very good. Drinks were strong. Everyone enjoyed the evening and we appreciated them fitting us in.
Cactus Jack's is listed as a sports bar, and if golf is your only sport, it's great. But we were there for the NCAA Playoff.Took quite a while and spoke to several workers before getting one screen, in a very noisy bar. Someone tried to change the channel, and we had to protest but got to continue watching. Their food is wonderful but need to drop the Sports Bar listing.
Always a beautiful thing to learn of a great bar and restaurant that’s always been there. Palm Desert has its share of such places but it required the intelligent decision for our party of six to Uber from Palm Springs since there was a high likelihood of considerable consumption . Easily some of the best pours anywhere. Bar food is excellent and substantial . We went back two days later, and confirmed our initial impression . Will certainly have it on our short list of places to bring guests to the Coachella Valley .
The best Prime Rib in the valley! Totally old school menu, we love it, great salads for the non meat eaters with lots of favorite dishes in the menu. Great service. We loved the old location in Indio, started coming here few months ago and now becoming a regular haunt. Going there again tonight!
