Our waiter Alvaro was great. Noise level great. Food was great.
A great place to go when in Pacifica. Love the view of the ocean and having the piano music in the bar was so nice. Loved the specialty drinks too.
We decided to do a last minute trip to surprise our kids with beach time. The restaurant is convenient to our hotel, with amazing views. They had someone playing the piano, it was beautiful. We got to the restaurant for our reservation and were seated promptly. We were right next to the window and that VIEW was spectacular. Our appetizer and the kids meals came out very quickly. My cocktail came in a glass that was a little too big, so it made it look like I barely got any. Our entrees followed quickly after, I got the Kobe beef with scallops and my husband got the crab cioponno. After that our waitress came back often to see if we were ready to go, the first time was 40 minutes after we got to the restaurant, then it was repeatedly after every 5 minutes after. We ended up getting dessert of warm chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and tiramisu. The food was good, the views were amazing and the waitress was very nice but rushing. My husband and I felt it was because we had a 5 yr old and 10 mo baby. We would definitely go again, just without the kids.
Servicer, was young, had no customer service experience. Helpfulness poor, knowledge of food useless , did not even refill water, check w/us on food enjoyment. One, & done
Overall it was pretty good food with a nice view. The biggest complaint was the service. The busers and waitress continued to pass by our table leaving the dirty plates. The dirty plates from our appetizers stayed on the table until we completed desert, so over 3 courses. If it was very busy I would understand, but many times restaurant staff casually walked by empty handed.
The Moonraker used to be a fine dining experience. Unfortunately now it is purely enjoyable just for the view. The restaurant is dated, but what saddened me more was the food. With their high prices we expected better. The shrimp cocktail was fresh but way overpriced, 6 for$20, 3 for $10 The lobster tails were small and not great. My husband didn't even eat the accompaniments, they were that bad. The hanger steak was ok but served cold and the portion small, seemed hidden by the salad in the center. The truffle fries just ok. I wanted the burrata but remembered it was merely spread on top of crostini with tomatoes. Not the dollop of burrata we enjoy elsewhere. For dessert we tried the banana bread pudding. It was meh, and a far cry from the bananas foster they used to flambe tableside years ago. We spent almost $300 for 2 and had to ask twice for bread, my husband had wanted with the clam chowder which he enjoyed but the bread came after he finished it. We did enjoy the music, and we love the view. Will go back, but for drinks and appetizers.. Hope they are able to improve. The view is amazing.
Food was very good, & loved the view. Plus the small cake for our grandsonâs birthday was perfect.
We went on a Tuesday evening, and the place was jumping. We were seated on time and the service was excellent. Our food options were less than expected, but that's popular now days, as costs and traffic is too hard to predict. That said, the clam chowder is always a winner, but my crab cakes were tasteless....no crab flavor at all. My Petrale Sole was acceptable, but overdone. My wife's Calamari was overdone and also tasteless. Her entrée was Steak Frits, which were just OK, but not up the the usual Moonraker standard we have come to expect. The cost of the evening was high, but the food didn't hold up it's end of the costs. Rich K.
It wad great!! Service was amazing and the food was excellent.
It was good. We winded up staying way past the closing time and no one even pressured us to leave.
