Have noticed a major change in the quality of their coffee/espresso drinks over the last 6 or so months. When we first moved to Pacifica a little over two years ago, we were coming to this Chit Chat at least every other day for our morning lattes and occasionally, a bagel or two. Unfortunately the last five or so times I’ve come here, I’ve left disappointed and am hesitant to return for anything but a snack. The vibes here, however, are just lovely and I really appreciate the quaintness, as well as the kind/positive attitudes of the staff.
Clam chowder wasn’t as good maybe the morning time is better but the cashier was very nice to let me exchange it for a iced mocha, Poppy seed muffin and a Brownie. Go in the morning instead for Clam Chowder.
Really fun Sunday afternoon. Went in for a quick bite. Were very happy with food and even had some nice entertainment. Could have wanted anything g better after a nice walk on the beach.
Good coffee and breakfast bagels at this locals cafe! Right across the street from the ocean with amazing views from the cafe. They had amazing live music today too. Will definitely be back!
Omg...what a gem. Similar to another reviewer, I was a little frazzled when I got there. Comfort set it with the charm of the Chit Chat Cafe. I got plenty of chit chat, as the barista was very warm and personable, very much a kindred spirit. Food was great, coffee was great, and...the beach is right there. Do yourself and the community a favor by supporting this great local business.
I've got to admit- I wasn't in a good place when I walked through its doors. But the lady at the counter was so nice and genuinely welcoming that it was like travelling back in time. The food is fantastic, the prices are more than reasonable and there are # 140, # 112 and # 110 that can get you there if you don't drive. And after finishing your lunch you can literally just cross the street and there is the sea waiting to greet you. So don't forget your camera just because it's Pacifica and not SF proper. Oh, and they sell cute T-shirts and music CDs.
Great location for food, drink, and live music. Support a local business and musicians.
Maybe because the ocean mist is awesome as an appetizer ? and the sound of the waves crashing bring me peace.. Everything was great ?
You will get more comfort here than in Starbucks or Peets coffee shops.
I haven't been inside but drove by to hear live.music and then kept returning just for the music :D. I'd park nearby or stand outside. I really enjoyed myself as the musicians and music seem to be baby boomers and I'm 54. Hippy vibe too. It's a bit of sunshine in an otherwise chilly and foggy Pacifica. They get sun there but less often not. I'll venture inside and try out their drinks or food one day. Oh and next time I'll be sure and tip the musicians. The 3x I'd been so far. They're really good ?
