Love the new place! Thanks Cory for the updates?
Wowsers, this place is delicious. Sure it's Mexican food but with a slight twist and that might be a regional thing (Cuernavaca). Wife and I stopped by only because we came to a restaurant across from here except they are closed (memorial day). How could we not come in, it is SUPER PACKED. Tons of people here so you know it's good. And by full I mean the place in full of people inside, outside with a full line still waiting to order. Yes, you have to order yourself but they do bring it out to you and pick up after you so tip please. We ordered a torta each (menu is sorta limited and that's not always a bad thing). The tortas are big, full of food (many places skimp on everything except maybe lettuce to make it look like you get a lot) and simply delicious. The place is very nice and clean, it is a little deceiving from the outside. You do need to order chips if you want some. We didn't know, asked and we were offered chips for free. Salsas are ok, they are different but again it could be regional. We recommend this place and we will be back. It is not often I write a review of a restaurant while I am eating. Almost forgot, the prices are good specially for the amount of food and how good it was.
Torta Cubana is a must have! The Carne Asada Tacos are delicious; meat is juicy and Tender. We usually order a torta Cubana and split it. The restaurant is nice and clean. Staff is nice. They have a Salsa Bar and Fountain drinks!!! ?
I love this place! It is consistently one of the best Mexican places I go to. My favorites are the the Pastor tacos, Pastor burrito, and the Alambres Especial. Unless I’m super hungry or want leftovers, I get the tacos, because the burritos are huge.
I'm usually tolerant and give people the benefit of the doubt giving them a second chance or a third... I was hesitant to go back to Cuernavaca restaurant as 4 weeks ago my husband and I had a bad experience with the service and hearing people talk about us behind our backs only because I got an extra salsa. That got my husband upset and he never wanted to go back. Not sure he will... My sister in law convinced me to go back with her and try it again today which I did. The service was good this time therefore the food tasted better as well. They have a good menu and the "suadero" tacos are delicious as well as the mix "alambre". In my opinion, the service is more important than the food. If you offer good service, people will continue coming back.
Customer service continues to be horrible. Everytime it happens I forget what the food tastes like. The first couple of rude encounters I thought it was underpaid employees having a bad, but I can now say it's consistent. Talk to your workers, especially whoever worked on Monday February 7th 2022 opening shift. It was either Ian or Antonio. The short light skin manager type with power issues.
Food was good, al pastor was very flavorful and the spicy shrimp taco had alot of shrimp.
Outstanding customer serviceThe guys in the front are greatTreat us with courtesy respectMy dad is a disabled 84 years oldI drive half hour to take him to lunch in Oxnard. He is happy with the food and the attention he gest thereThank you Cuernavaca oxnard
Birria tacos were amazing.. asada and al pastor are not. Why is it so hard for restaurants to provide decent quality food?
Tried the asada, AL pastor, and chorizo. It was all delicious. The salsa was actually spicy. Definitely had we stopped by.
