The restaurant itself is nice with a vibrant vibe, there are pictures on the wall depicting very peculiar aspect of the Neapolitan Culture. Physically it's a very good place to dine in, but food and service are not.I've been there on a Saturday evening with my teenage son. While looking up at the menu, I ordered a Negroni which arrived fast and was okay.To start we had bruschetta and arancini, both of them were soggy and not crunchy as they were supposed to be, both the 2 capricciosa pizza we ordered weren't crunchy as well but really mushy.Besides the fact that the food wasn't okay at all, what really surprised me was that while we were still eating our pizza the waitress handed us the check without before asking if we wanted something else. I think we are a good typology of patrons and when we go out for dinner we don't think twice to order dishes that stimulates our palate and we look for a full experience from appetizers to desert with myself ending everything with a good shot of liquor, so I told her that we hadn't finished yet and we wanted to order a cannoli and a shot of Fernet Branca, a very famous after dinner liquor used as a digestive. She took the check back and without any hesitation replied that they didn't have the Fernet Branca. She came back with the Cannoli and the updated check. While my son was eating his cannoli, which was delicious, from my table amongst all the bottles at the bar I spotted same not very popular Italian liquors so I found really strange that they didn't have the Fernet Branca so I went closer and, guess what, the Fernet Branca was just there.I told her that they had it and if I could get a shot of it. Without saying anything she took the check back again bringing an updated one together with a shot of Fernet Branca.I would have expected a little apology and as a touch of class for what happened, being just a 7 bucks drink, no to not being charged for the Fernet.Summarizing my review in few words I would say: "a very negative experience"
Just driving through to Ventura for a film at Patagonia, starved and craving pizza. ?My husband remembered this shop from years ago when we lived in the area.We couldn't remember the name or find it on Google, so we drove on autopilot. It was the same place!AndWe were early enough for Happy Hour!!?They gave us an awesome table in front of the pizza oven, and we took lotsa photos!?So we ordered everything we wanted, food came out mad fast and we were out in time for our film!Voilà and Bon Appétit!
It was an interesting experience. We had dinner with the boys, including my baby nephew. The food was decent, but the pizza was not our typical flavor style we are conitioned too. We completely understood that portion prior to going. The arancini was amazing, especially if you put the fresh black pepper on it.The staff present was trying to catteryto our large food order before the happy hour ended, but would have preferred a couple of more check ins at the table once the food started to come in.
Settebello pizza is perfectly baked every time I get them. It's the only place I've found so far with arancino too! They've done a good job bringing tastes of Italy to The Collections. Drinks are also good and their beer selection is fun too.
Great Pizza! Wonderful service. And, if you like drinks - the best bartenders around. Great bourbon selection, including Pappy’s. Everything is Top Shelf! Highly recommended!
Very good pizza and service
If you’re looking for attentive quality service-I’m sorry to say this isn’t the place for that. Granted, the drinks were top notch. I have no complaints there. Besides that, our waiter seemed to have a bias towards (do I dare…) the mature, “lighter-skinned” crowd versus two Latinos in their early 20’s. I really hate pulling this card-but man, it was blatantly obvious. Our drinks took forever to come out even though the bar or restaurant was not busy (we’re talking about 25 min for a Moscow mule & negroni). Our water was never refilled, and the waiter never stopped to check in or ask if we were doing fine. Plates never picked up. We had to flag our waiter to ordered a refill on one of our drinks and it just never came. All the meanwhile our waiter was head over heels next table-pouring drinks, giving our recommendations, making conversations, and checking in every so often. I mean…I refused to believe it was a matter of classism or racism but after leaving with a terrible aftertaste…I’ve come to the conclusion there was no other reason but that. It’s unfortunate because the pizza was not bad either.
Long wait. On a Friday night expect waiting time was 45 minutes. Food was served fast I got the pasta and some pizzza, flavor was mild. Courteous servers.
You cannot beat their happy hour and this pizza takes me right back to Italy. So happy we found this place and will continue to come back!
I just went in for dinner with my husband, walked in at 8:15 pm and was told they already did last call by hostess and they were no longer serving pizza or drinks even though it states online that they are open until 9 pm and she stated that she was given a note that they have to stop serving earlier tonight and will be back to regular hours tomorrow. That is so upsetting and so unprofessional. Definitely felt like everyone that works there was upset that we walked in and didn't want to serve us. Never felt so uncomfortable walking in to a restaurant like I did tonight.
