The place we were headed for was closed. Pepe’s caught our eyes. What a nice surprise!!! We had nachos, relleno burito & tamales. All was amazing. New to the area, this will be one of our main go-tos!!!
Great local place for a quick lunch or dinner. Under new management since 2020/2021. (Someone could put in the correct date.) We moved from The Bay Area in 2015 and had to find our new burrito place. We have been eating there a couple times or several times a month. I have taken friends and family always been happy. We’ve tried burritos, fish tacos, nachos and more. The person that gave the bad review had bad luck. Also, when new management took over she got a register. We love it. I keep cash on hand in case we need our burrito fix.
I've been eating here since I was a youngster. This place is legendary! Such good food, good vibes, and all over a fantastic experience that only the community which houses the establishment can provide. 10/10 A+ all the way!
They donated food for Caregivers fundraiser.I enjoyed my fish taco and know the restaurant is under new management. It is so much better than the last management. If you had a bad experience, it is worth another try. Thank you to new management for making this place worth my while!
The first time I went to Pepe's Mexican food under new management somebody recommended them to me so I went to order something for the first time I had tacos, beef tacos, with rice and beans, The beans were a little bit soggy but they were okay unless that's the way they are the rice was good The meat was fresh , I only eat beef tacos.I like because they had horchata, and drinking water. And outside it was clean The only thing there was a lot of flies. They keep coming around when I was eating.. but overall everything was good. I think it's so important that everything is clean especially when you're eating. The food is prepared fresh which it was cuz , He told me that he's the cook.Oh the only thing was that it had two yellow things inside I think it was chilly which I cannot eat but I just took it out no biggie.And I ordered things without onions and chili only mild sauce made out of tomato. ( I went for the second time but I think that you didn't understand what I was saying I told her that I can only eat beef no pork so when I ate the taco I think it was pork and it was very dry and choked a little bit on it but I ate a little bit of it I hope it wasn't pork cuz I don't eat pork only beef. I talked to the young lady that worked there and I guess they gave me the wrong thing but that's okay next time I go for the third time I'll make sure it's 100% beef but the owner or the guy that serves me the first time is the one that cooks the meat This one was different so next time I go I'll make sure that he is there The cook or the owner of the Pepe's Mexican restaurant under new management. Everything was clean outside the only thing was there was a lot of flies. It was a little difficult to eat my, food. Because they were all over the area but overall the food was delicious I had to call to get some tortillas side orders cuz they got really busy I think it's because I put it on Facebook. When I order my tortillas I got them as soon as they were not busy in the tortillas were good The first time I went I was referred to them but my hairdresser. I asked them where is your place to eat and they said that the place was good and they had good food and it was under new management. Worst burrito ever. Tasted like the meat was bad the salsa was old and the tortilla had been reheated. Never again will I eat here. I'm afraid that I will get sick again.
This is a taco truck right on Yucca and Saviers in Oxnard. Right across from Circle K gas station. It is bar none, one of the best taco trucks around. If Paco is cooking, ask for the SEMI DORADO EL BARBACOA. Best five bucks you'll spend. Lots of tender seasoned meat, cheese and onion plus cilantro in a golden toasted tortilla. A plus plus plus on staff here. Treat them good and they will treat you better. Also side note, this group of people also have been witnessed taking care of and treating the homeless with dignity and kindness so not only do they have good food they have great hearts. This is a phenomenal place to eat and usually open from 6 pm to 1 am. They have bright lights usually around and are situated in a parking lot so normally parking is easy and it's a mostly safe area these days. On weekends they have a security guard at the at and grill restaurant in the lot. I don't have any problems there and there are usually lots of people because it's very popular. So grab a bite.

Always great fish tacos, for as long as i can remember, and my memory stretches back for weeks. , shrimp tacos good too, but go for the fish taco.
Absolutely love this mom and pop stop! My mom ate here as a kid and now me and my son do! We were in town and ate her 3x during the week. The fish tacos are AMAZING ♡
