Food, service, ambiance was above par. Only a couple of hiccups. Wine glasses came out, crab cakes came out, but the wine followed several minutes later. The only other issue I had was that I had the sea bass on a bed of rice and the rice was considered my one side! Never had a meal at a restaurant where the protein was on rice or mashed potatoes and it was considered a side. Otherwise everything tasted very good. It was our anniversary so I knew I was going to pay a premiumâ¦..with tip our meal was $ 285.00 for two people.
The food and service were great! The food was actually excellent ! My only complaint is we went because we had a gift card . Upon checkout the âsystemâ was down so we were u able to use the gift card. Pricey dinner and we had a 100$ gift card to help offset the cost and we were unable to use it. Felt we should have been compensated soMehow but we werenât. Again, the food and service e were EXCELLENT
Dinner with family, my tri tip was overdone and our waiter immediately order more from the kitchen. Love this restaurant. However the cocktails are not always good. Bartenders are iffy.
Great experience, very Courteous and Attentive Staff Excellent food. Had a wonderful time.
Here on business and to my surprise they stopped taking American Express. Thatâs really unfortunate and Iâll need to take my clients elsewhere.
Great dinner and great service celebrating my dads birthday. Music was a bit loud though.
Fillet Mignon was very tender but the flavor was bland Garlic mash were instant potatoes I think The staff were on point and very attentive Served us complementary lemon cake with ice cream on a beautiful plate congratulating us on our anniversary Overall I would give it a 7
When we first arrived we were seated to the rear of the establishment near a large party, the reseated us to the front which was much better, Our server Chris was fantastic, very personable and friendly, we have been there several times and their staff is always very attentive and making sure we had everything we needed.
My wife and I had reservations for 5PM...right as they opened. We were seated at a booth and the overall noise level was low...as expected because there were only a few tables seated at the time. Our server arrived promptly and was friendly, attentive and professional. No up-sells were attempted. OK, we have never eaten at THIS Larsen's before BUT we have eaten several times at the Larsen's in Simi Valley. Both share a similar decor and feeling...a little dark but comfy. Perhaps it's the state of things, not certain...here's my observations. 1) Prices have gone WAY UP. I mean...almost to the point where I would change my order for something less $$. 2) What happened to bread & butter at the table before dinner is served? Nothing! Hmmmmm... 3) Portions for everything are smaller. Again, hmmmmm.... Please don't get me wrong, the food was excellent and cooked as requested. It was plated well and service was excellent.
This was our second visit to Larsens. Both times the service was top notch. The kitchen errors both times disappointing. Our first visit a few months ago had kitchen errors on every entree order for our party of 4. To Larsenâs credit, manager personally apologized and gave us a small amount gift card toward a future visit. We went back and although not as many issues still foundational kitchen issue in that a $64 steak wasnât prepared properly as ordered (served well done and dry v tender juicy medium well) This is unacceptable for premium steakhouse experience where dinner is $100+ person . We wonât be going back.
