My husband and I stopped there to celebrate our anniversary. The desserts were great and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem is the noise bouncing off all the concrete inside. At some point, we almost did not hear each other at the table. I would rate it a five, except you really need to be aware of the noise factor if you are sitting down to eat. If not, go to the counter and buy some of their delicious desserts including macaroons! You won't be disappointed.
Located in Heritage Square (a gem in downtown Oxnard), a beautiful Victorian House is the home of La Dolce Vita and the 1901 Speak Easy (bar/ lounge in the cellar). The food and service is excellent but the massive draw for me and my wife is the Speak Easy which specializes in Prohibition Era cocktails. Sam and Will are masters of their craft and I've tried cocktails I never imagined I would end up loving. I highly recommend the smoked Old Fashioned, the Statesmen, and the Negroni. They also have live music that is tasteful and you can enjoy it on a comfortable couch, sitting by a beautiful fireplace. We love this place!!
First timer! We found the menu to be on the pricier side for the offerings. Food was good, but nothing stood out. Service was slow, but friendly. I'm not sure I'd return at this price point, but I don't regret trying this place out.
Excellent. New owner and management. They really focus on customer satisfaction. Worth checking out and hanging out in the Bar.
This was really cool because they opened early for my bridal shower high tea. The house was beautiful and the food was very good. The service was also very good. I marked down one star only because the tea was bagged and didn't include extras I've come to expect with high tea.

Had a great night out here with friends. We had a great time talking with the new owner and the head waitress. Great report and a good time had by all. The food was terrific too, they had 7 specials and all four of us greatly enjoyed our meals. We are looking forward to many nights back here to go through the rest of the specials, not to mention the rest of the menu.

We had a last minute wedding reception need that were accommodated with the utmost professionalism and care. They basically give us the whole place. Food was great and service was outstanding. And the price was unbeatable! It all also came with a cake!
