Really liked this place. Great breakfast items and friendly service. We sat on the patio in back. It’s somewhat covered but still outdoors. One cool thing was the Bougie Mosa, a split of Prosecco with a flight of three sampling flavors.
Absolutely the best little breakfast spot on the beach. The location is 100 ft. from the sand. The staff are incredibly kind and thoughtful. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything was full of flavor. The eggs, the pancakes, the chicken and waffles (we are a family of four w/ two teenagers). My favorite part of breakfast was the breakfast potatoes. The peppers and onions mixed with the potatoes were perfect. I loved them! And the coffee was great. Not you typical "diner" coffee. It was a great medium blend. They even have a patio where you can sit with your dog. If your are looking for a place for breakfast of lunch you need to try this place. It won't disappoint.
I highly recommend this place! I went with a few coworkers on our way to a work event. We were greeted with smiles from every worker and they had great customer service. We each ordered different items and took a bite to taste the different food and surprisingly every single dish was amazing especially “the hangover”. The drinks were great and so was the service. After we left I noticed I forgot my receipt and contacted them the next day to email it to me and they did. After emailing it to me they even contacted me by phone to make sure I received it. I will definitely be going back if I’m ever in the area. They were absolutely amazing.
Great place to eat. We were sat immediately. There are a few parking spots right in front. I ordered the HBC Breakfast Sandwich on sourdough which was so good! My parents got the corned beef hash and the eggs benedict. The corned beef hash was a bit chunky, but really good! There's an outdoor seating area, a bar, and a general dining area. The beach is just a few steps away :)
I liked it so much that I posted photos of my food, the cafe and the beach on FB. I will return.
This place has been my favorite breakfast house even back when it was Mrs Olson's coffee hutt. I first would go there 40 years ago when I was a little kid with my grandmother and Miss Olsen would always stop our table and talk with my grandmother. It has nostalgia for me deep in my heart. I still go to it because it's it's small and the moments in the connections and the people that you make there leave something magical in your heart every time you go. Highly recommend the food is top quality the service is outstanding in the people are friendly. Highly recommend. Keep in mind this is no longer Mrs Olson's coffee hut this is now Hollywood Beach Cafe and it's still the same as it been for 40 years for me. And all of my friends would agree with me.
We love the service, food and vibes here! Best breakfast place in the Channel Islands harbor and a short walk to the beach. Seating available inside or out. Must try the huevos rancheros-the best!
This place is a cozy spot one can come to enjoy a nice meal. I'm not from the area, so this was the only time I've visited. The portion sizes of the meals were pretty decent and the interaction with the staff was cordial as one would expect.

You know the place is good if they have a line out the door, but no worries the wait was really short. And the cashier was super sweet. I wanted something vegan and they had plenty of options which all looked great so I asked the cashier what she recommended and got that. It was a vegan breakfast burrito with chipotle sauce it was soooo good . I love that they have multiple vegan options and there's something for everyone here. Super cute place friendly staff and delicious food
