This appeared to be the last restaurant standing in an Oxnard food court. Prices were reasonable and the sushi was decent. Service was very quick and helpful. We liked the place and thought it was a good value.
Excellent food, good portions, and reasonable cost (for today).
Been coming here for over 15 years. Always great food and friendly service
I love the miso soup here it's one of my favorites in the area. I also love the prices and the sushi is made fresh
CLOSED PERMANENTLY as of October 15, 2021. This place is closed for good now due to owner’s personal circumstances. It was a great place for authentic Korean sushi meals. Please do not follow the open sign on social media sites as you’ll need to work on Plan B when you get there seeing this place closed for good.
Fresh sushi prepared right in front of you! I love getting lunch here and sitting by the harbor.
I do not understand these reviews. The sushi was borderline terrible. Most rolls were just imitation crab salad which had less 'crab' than supermarket sushi. Tuna on top was minimal, so thin it was see through and looked old (off pink color). It tasted metallic. I threw away an entire roll which I never do. Salmon was edible but mediocre at best. Even crab stick nigiri tasted off. The only thing that was actually good was the miso soup. Massive waste of $60 and left us getting sick.
I'm writing this review because I think people should be warned about this place. If you have a sushi place on the water in California, it shouldnt taste metallic and when a roll says salmon on the outside, it shouldnt be cheap salmon salad on top. Awful sushi, don't go hereo have salmon on
Always mine and my husband's favorite sushi spot. Very on point every time. The oysters are not comparable to anything I have ever tasted. They use a tangy sauce that makes your oyster experience very unique. The rainbow roll is always my husband's go to. The fish is always fresh. The salmon and salmon skin handroll are my favorite. I had the octopus salad for the first time tonight and it was stupendous. I believe we have been going to this sushi place for about 6-7 years consistently. I 5 star recommend. ?
We originally wanted to get sashimi and hot spicy fish soup at Fisherman’s House, but we were told that the wait was over an hour. So, we decided to get fish and chips and grilled halibut there instead. Let’s just say that the former didn’t taste too bad, but the latter was way too salty.Next to Fisherman’s House is Fisherman’s Sushi. It appeared to me as if the owners were different. Anyhow, we ordered sashimi and sushi here. The workers seemed friendly, but it took over half an hour to get our food. We were disappointed that it took so long for our food to be prepared and that the food tasted so mediocre—the sashimi didn’t taste too fresh and the rolls were just okay.
