Used to be a shift leader at a rubios close to this one. Pinto beans didn't have enough seasoning (needs more garlic salt) and the rice was bland (missing a half cup) with day old chips. I thought the standard was fresh daily like the rest of the franchise. The avocado slices were a good size, ill give them that. Orange store is under staffed and way better. To the auto generated owner. I hope you take notes.
My family and I go to Rubio's often and I get the quinoa rice and I have never had it look like this before. As you see in the photo it appears very inedible and nothing like I've ever seen it before. Also my son and I decided to smell the rice due to how inedible it appeared and the smell was awful like dirt. I decided not to take a chance but nobody should have to question whether their food is edible that they order and have to waste their money and possibly risk their health. I hope to never have this experience again at Rubio's.
Good food, wish the service was better though. Went in today and specifically ordered black beans and grilled fish. Ended up with pinto beans I won't eat and blackened fish that I didn't ask for
Clean enough, decent service. Pretty good about matching requests. Always request no cilantro, and can't offhand recall this branch having ever messed it up.
God awful restaurant! EVERY TIME I come here, they screw up my order: sauce wasn't on the side as requested, got white rice instead of brown rice, brown rice & quinoa instead of cauliflower rice, etc. Today I ordered the Wild Mahi Mahi Taco Plate. It's supposed to have cilantro, onions, fire roasted corn, and lime in it. All it had was cabbage! The pinto beans were bland. If they're going to lower their standard for taste and service, they should lower their prices. I've decided never to visit another Rubio's restaurant ever again! ?
I ate half of the burrito and then found hair in the burrito. And the quality that I’m used to at Rubios is not in this Rubio. Did not receive any apology. They were going to make me another burrito but there was no way I was going to eat anything else from here. I was already nauseated. Good thing I didn’t throw up right there.
I ordered the Mexican corn bowl to go. I left. But I came back and decided to eat in instead. After I ate a little part of the bowl, I realized this wasn't what I had ordered. They thought I ordered the California bowl. I showed him my receipt and they wanted to throw on some corn. But that wasn't the same. I insisted that they make the Mexican bowl or refund my money. And they made me the Mexican bowl. Very big difference. Very poor customer service.
Got a bowl the salmon overcooked hard as a rock, i got remains that had been left over. Food wasnt fresh smelled stale. The last time i went there the manager and workers were spot on with presentation of the food. My food was yuck!
The taco Tuesday is good if you like fried. If you're like me and you want the exact same taco but grilled not fried you have to pay regular price.
The fish taco especial never fails to hit the spot. ?
