NO Air-Conditioning? Restaurant was HOT when we arrived, 80F+, door was propped open and flies were coming in. Uncomfortable dining area = who cares how good the food is?? People spend money to dine out to enjoy their food, not sweat into it and stick to the seat. Menu selection looked good if that is any consolation.
I hate to admit it, this was our very first time here, thanks to a recommendation from our friends Ray and Dolores Flores, who are regulars there. And So glad we agreed to come for dinner. I had their seafood stew and my wife had the Angel pasta with sausage. We LOVED IT! And the homemade Tiramisu was amazing!! We will be back!!
Got in just before the rush. Food was delicious. Priced reasonably. Probably need more staff (as do most places today). One waiter was working the whole restaurant.
Amazing food, had their gnocchi with blush sauce and brucchetta, bean soup and artichoke dip with garlic bread ? everything was super good.
Cute little cafe, perfect on a rainy night because they have warm and friendly service, coupled with easy listening jazz on the stereo. Oh yeah, the food is varied and complex, with easy customization if requested. They even make their own desserts which they will bring out on a tray to tantalize your senses.I highly recommend the mushrooms with crab.
Great Place to eat! Italian food is superb! Ben is a Great Guy to deal with. Had our wedding party there and Ben was attentive to all our needs!!!
How did I miss this place. Great food and service. You can tell you are not in a corporate restaurant. Food is fresh and tastes great.

We live right down the street from this establishment . My wife and and I were excited to try this restaurant. That was quickly dismissed. Our reservations were at 7:00. At 7:15 we're were finally greeted. We order 2 glasses of wine and some apps, 20 min latter we received our wine. and apps. Wine was ok but the apps had no taste, bland which we didn't finish. So after more than an hour we had one glass of wine and some bad apps. We're were very disappointed in the food and service was terrible. There are many restaurants in the Orange circle and this is one I would avoid . I've never left a review of any restaurant but after tonight I definitely felt obligated.
We catered our wedding from here. Renata's is the BEST Italian food in orange county. Ben was super wonderful and helpful setting up the food order. I was greeted with a glass of wine and we sat down and discussed what food would be best for this type of occasion. I needed to make changes to the order which he politely made over the phone just days before the wedding. On the day of when it was picked up it was very well organized, set up properly for catering and most importantly it stayed hot and delicious over the 3 hour trip to the destination. I will continue coming here for as long as I can. If I could only ever recommend one single restaurant in orange county I would recommend Renata's
