Worst experience ever.First of all, has a 5 month old baby girl (NOT ABLE TO SIT BY HERSELF)Brought a stroller, OF COURSE. While putting our name on wait list, no one told anything about bringing a baby with stroller in the restaurant. After waiting almost 2 hours (which is understandable since this restaurant is busy), a waiter said the stroller is not acceptable. Even we are sitting on a table for 4, we only had 3 adults. We just needed to move one chair out and put the stroller inside. However, the manager and waiter kept said it was not allowed. And they said there is even NO HIGH CHAIR in the restaurant. I can’t believe that there is any restaurant out there without high chair nor accepting a stroller. I did not want to go another restaurant since I already waited 2 Hours. I needed to carry 5 month old baby and had to eat. This is not a cheap restaurant. They should have better service. Or at least, let customer to bring a stroller if it is not blocking others.

This is my holy grail for sushi!!! I am not kidding when I say I think about this place at least once a month ?? The omakase here is such good value it’s insane, I mean come on just look at the pics!! The omakase here is a bit frustrating to book as you can only call for reservations between 5:00-5:30 pm and their phone lines are extremely busy. However, if you’re able to book a reservation, it is so worth it because you can avoid the 2-2.5 hr wait times ??The fish here is always consistently high quality and the sushi chefs are always kind and generous. The ambiance is nice and intimate especially when seated at the sushi bar. I highly recommend ordering the seared black cod & cherry salmon a la carte because 1 piece just isn’t enough ?Each piece of fish is amazing and I can’t wait to come back!!

This place is Michelin rated meaning it’s definitely a good place for sushi, and indeed it is. I’m sometimes afraid to order omakase because I never know if what the chef likes will be what I like. This place doesn’t disappoint. The chef knows what you will like as well as what everyone else will like. Uncanny!

Perfect omakase! Take a reservation is a must.

OMG! My #1 best authentic sushi place ever ♥️♥️♥️ after eating at this place, I haven’t found another sushi place that could replace it. Always worth waiting! I recommend for special occasions and dinner with friends or family. The ambient is nice and cozy. Some fish are from Japan and market price sushi are delicious ? Price can be a bit expensive, but it’s worth every penny at this location. Highly recommended ?

What an experience! From booking the reservation to actually dining at Ohshima.Reservations: Call the restaurant from 5-5:30pm to book a dinner reservation. After 62 calls, I managed to talk to someone at the restaurant and secured a 5:30pm reservation. There's a 10 minute grace period if you're running late.Arrival: I arrived at 5:30pm and there was a line that wrapped toward the chicken shop in the plaza. The hostess will check you in if you had a reservation. If you're waiting in line for dinner without a reservation, anticipate a wait between 1-1.5 hours.Dinner: We opted for the chefs omakase (10 pieces) and ordered some extras at the end. We had the following for dinner:Sea breamMedium toroScallopAmberjackSea bassCherry salmonJohn DoryBluefin TunaBlack CodJapanese ButterfishUniSweet ShrimpEverything was absolutely delicious! The nigiri was fresh and took you to flavor town with each bite. The sushi here is glazed with soy or sea salt and yuzu. You could taste the fresh natural flavors from the seafood selection for the night. The bill came out to ~ $210 after tax for the (2) chefs 10 piece omokase, (2) sweet shrimp, (2) uni and one fried chicken cartilage.Definitely worth dining here despite the painstaking reservations. I highly recommend dining here if you're looking for a date night or celebrating a special occasion.Ohshima, I'll be back! Looking forward to making another 60+ calls to dine here.

Make reservations! you can call at most one week in advanced and only between 5-5:30pm to make reservations. There's almost always a long (~20-30) people line when they open at 5:30pm for dinner time. Do not arrive late to your reservation as they'll only hold your reservation for 10 minutes. The food and sashimi was PHENOMENAL. This was one of our more expensive meal but totally worth it. I wish we had time to try everything but good thing we got the 13 piece omakase ($85/person). One of my favorites we ordered was the yellowtail jalapeño carpaccio, which is a plate of thinly sliced raw fish ?

Top 3 sushi restaurant in Orange County..100%

Chilled glass. Good beer. Paper straw has structural integrity. No. 1, 4, 5 and 9 were delicious.

The best Japanese restaurant in Orange. Very expensive but hey, if money is no object, this is it.
