Been coming here since I was a baby, as my family live on Pearl Street. I kept on coming back every single time I'm visiting from Europe. Moreno's is a part of home and heart, always. I spent so many amazing memories here. The food, the HOT CARROTS?? the service.I wish I could be there now, miss it so much. Much love for this place, Moreno's. ?
I came here on a Thursday during lunch time and it was not crowded at all. I ordered a carne asada burrito with sauce. It was decent. Chips and salsa provided were good and the service was good as well.
I love the tacos here. What I didn't love was the lack of good service.First, my husband is handicapped and uses a cane. Every step has to be thought out before taking a journey because each is hard. The entrance to the hostess stand from parking is a long walk. Once we got there, they sent us back the way we came to sit down then back again when they were ready to seat us. Put the hostess stand near where you want us to wait, please.After we were seated, no one came to our table for a full 15 minutes. A group seated 5 minutes after us had chips and drinks before anyone approached us. There were servers bustling about, but no one stopped at our table. Our server was very friendly and made us feel welcome, but no one brought drink refills.I noted that drink refills were not offered at any of the tables. That was bad business because they lost the money on any second glasses of wine or beer.The food is great. The ground beef enchilada was tasty, the rice is excellent, and the refried beans are the best I have ever had. The flan was flavorful and not a bland concoction normally served elsewhere.But good food aside, circle back to the lack of drink refills, leaving guests waiting to have drinks or even be acknowledged for 15 full minutes. I will probably just do take out next time. $55 for a meal where we feel ignored after being seated was sad.
Average Mexican food in a nice shady outdoor setting. Decently strong margaritas. A large family group went for lunch during the week. Service was a little slow, took a while for a food to come out. That said, they did not hurry us. We were enjoying catching up, so we weren't in a rush. If people need a patio that could accommodate a large group that was also relaxing and removed from traffic, I recommend this place.

Stopped on our way back home to Arizona. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Would definitely come back the next time we are in the area.
Service was perfect for our group of 10! Food portions were very large. I would have been fine sharing a plate they offer so much food. Chips were crispy but not burnt. Drinks were super yummy. I had a strawberry margarita and a pacifico so refreshing!! I will definitely go back when Im in the area
