I don't usually do this because I really like this restaurant. When I went in to order my usual Chirashi Bowl, I was very disappointed! There were only 5 fish!!! Usually, there is a good variety but you can tell that they tried to make it seem more by the way the laid it out. I did take a photo but I can't find it. I know they can do better because this is one of my favorite places. Covid aftermath strikes again!

The movement has been there for over 20 years! Never disappointed with their food. My only complaint is the small dining table and the long wait. 90% of the time, I visit them for the sashimi special! Please be aware that this is a more traditional Japanese restaurant. They they don't have much of those curly pastries. But expect authentic, very fresh sushi!!!

It was ok. We went in a large group, which I am sure is a factor. The service as far as getting the good out was SLOW. It's as though the sushi chef was also the cook, because there was a huge delay in everyone getting their food. I realize we had 12ppl. But the place was practically empty and it was like a half hour [or more] wait for some ppl to get their food vs the rest of the table, so it isn't like they were even close for either the hot food or the sushi dishes. The kid's beef teriyaki had an odd texture, as though it was steamed instead of grilled. And the sushi was clearly not prepared by a fully trained sushi chef. The rolls were inconsistently cut and missing some ingredients. Overall it wasn't a bad experience. The server, blonde with an electronic nametag, was very nice and personable. She was very friendly and tried to be accommodating, I just don't think even she could make up for the mediocre food.

It’s a great looking restaurant with friendly people and exceptional food at a very reasonable price. I had a great time and haven’t been hungry since and that was 7 hours ago. Recommend the katsu bento. Two Michelin stars, minimum ⭐️⭐️

Honestly the most filling sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to. When I saw how thicc the slabs of fish in the sushi were, I was right to assume I would be full. Aside from that, the atmosphere is very nice, and I’d recommend this place.

They dont make places like this anymore with Japanese layout and design. Excellent service, food quality from fish to tempura, just excellent. Clean environment and good prices

My family and I have been coming to Koisan for over 5 years. Food is delicious but service has always been bad. Every time we came to eat, the restaurant wasn’t busy and we had to wait a long time for our food to be served. Servers often messed up our order, and we had to wait a long time just for an appetizer as simple as edamame to be served. I’m so disappointed and unfortunately we will not be coming here anymore. To the management: your chefs are amazing but service terrible. You have to be more selective when hiring servers because they are representing your restaurant.

Love this place. Only con is the sukiyaki. This dish is hard to find on menus any longer. I really wanted to savor this, but it's a sure pass here. Few ingredients when it should have lots, and a couple of pieces of beef. Worst part, you can't have the meat cooked to your liking. I asked for the server to place the meat in the broth tableside, but she wouldn't It's been tough the three times I've tried it.

The rolls where kinda falling apart. Green tea was fine. At least the cup was super cute. Everything was tasty though. The brine for the pickled veggies is a bit in the stronger side. The host was super friendly and the staff is nice. Good amount of seating and clean. For two people we spent I think about 60 maybe a bit more.

Great food, great prices (especially for the amount of food) and great staff! Love this place! I never leave disappointed!
