Had not been H salt n couple yrs. Decided go. It wasn't what expected at all. This H Salt was alright. Service was good but food was not what remember.
Like I said on yelp, I visited this place for the first time today in a couple years, because last time I was there I found multiple hairs in my food from the owner. This is the only H salt fish and chips in orange county. I had a hankering for fish and chips, malt vinegar and yummy tartar sauce, so I thought I would go by and see what the owner’s hair looked like, if it was in a net or what! I did call him up and yell at him a couple years ago telling him his hair was in my food and he should cut it or put it in a net! When I went in today I was thrilled to see that He had a shaved head! Perfect! I ordered the two fish with fries, it was $8.20 and it included tartar sauce. It was just like I remembered and just like I missed! Super yummy! And the place looked very clean. I will definitely be back!
This place has gone downhill. Used to be nice and cool with the AC on and a TV to watch. I asked the guy working there to turn on the TV and he said he couldn't they don't pay their spectrum bill. With Summer coming that place is going to be a hot box.
my son and I went yesterday, it was our first time coming here....the guy was by himself taking orders and cooking at the same time, he didn't washed his hands after collecting money, also he didnt gave me a chance to ask for onion rings instead of fries because he left me with the word in my mouth and didn't give me a chance to request it. later an old woman came out and helped him and she was scratching her head while cooking, lol both are very unsanitary people to be honestthe food was tasteless, no salt in the fish or shrimp batter, I bought 2 of the captain's comboswe got stomach ache after eating here, both my son and I got nausea and we feel like vomiting :SI wont be coming back.
Food was pretty good, thought there should be more fries with the combo but all in all everything was good & freshly cooked, oh and the Jumbo Shrimp are to die for, so flavorful and tastey.
No complaints here ! Absolutely delicious! Fish & Jumbo shrimps is our favorite! This treat is always good ! well worth it ! Yup we always come back for more ??
They literally keep 2 dogs in this restaurant. Husky and border collie which are both suuuper shedders. Disgusting!!!!!!!! Don’t be surprised if you’re eating dog hairs or food from a dirty cook’s hand.
The food is delicious the fish and chips are cooked just right I love this places it's worth 5 stars...
I like this H Salt. Very nice owners and the fish is always good. I prefer to eat there because I don't think any fried fish travels well. I am always satisfied when I go to this location.
They charge 4% to use a credit card? It only costs the business owner 2.2%. 50 cents for tartar sauce? The fried fish is too greasy. I would not go there again for these reasons. If you are the owner reading this, take this as constructive criticism to improve your business.
