I started searching for a ramen place ‘cause I was starving around 4pm… this place opens 5pm and 10 mins away from me and I liked the pictures from Google. Park was easy.Ordered spicy miso ramen. It was just right and what I needed.I gave it 4 not because of the food, but the service I think it can be improved.
The service was good but the food was not. Gyoza was horrible (store bought/frozen). Ramen had no flavor. And the music! Omg! The nastiest music you can imagine. This kind of music should not be played at a restaurant or any other business. Thank god no kids were inside when I was there. The only good thing about this place was the service. I will not come back.
Service is 5 out of 5.Food is 2 out of 5 - ramen was nothing special. The broth lacked flavor for me. I had the butaton ramen and it was spicy but few other flavors. Needed salt.Gyoza were disappointing - like store bought.The beer selection was small but good. The kawaba snow weizen was fantastic and I have never had this beer before.When I was here they played the filthiest, most profanity laced, disgusting rap music. The F word, N word, B word all repeated constantly. If I had children with me I would have left immediately. I am not prude but this music had no place in a business. I get you want to be hip but there are other ways to do this without playing music that will offend some of your customers. Also, many of these songs were from circa 2010 so not that cool anymore LOL. Yes, I said I am not a prude I probably was listening to these songs back in the day just not in a restaurant.Also, they don’t take American Express so a star deducted for that.
I over ate at this place. It’s too good. I just kept chowing down. Recommended. The broth is killer. Great service.

Butaton is fantastic. Best Ramen in OC and probably LA. James hooked us up too. Forget SLR. This place is legit.
This place was hoping, but we still got a table within 10min. Friendly staff and outstanding Ramen. Totally worth every penny!
