I've heard good things about this place. It's been around since 1999 apparently and they have a second location in Fontana. This is a family owned and run establishment. I kinda wish I had known about them sooner.I decided to order from here last Friday. When I arrived at 3PM, my food was already packed up and in their bags ready for me.I ordered a couple fish tacos, carne asada tacos, shredded beef chimichanga, and a shrimp cocktail. Everything was really good, but the one that my husband talked about afterwards was the shrimp cocktail. He usually adds a bunch of things in it to make it tastier for him, but he said that for this shrimp cocktail, he was perfect the way it was. Wow... he's already talking about picking up shrimp cocktail from here again soon and over the summer.. lol.
The salsa is watery buuut, addictive. The chunks of tomatoes and the whip of chili makes this a top pick.I was there on Saturday for lunch ANNND Sunday for breakfast.On Saturday, I had a beef enchilada and an asada taco.The enchilada sauce is a rich and thick colorado sauce that would make any abuelita happy. Perfectly flavored and treated with respect.The asada is straight beef. I like that they don't mess with the spicing too much here, they let the beef speak for itself and it was real nice.For breakfast I did an enchilada montada (an over easy egg on top of a cheese enchilada in red sauce) and again, the sauce was goooooood!The price was right on and the staff super friendly and attentive.They take a lot of pride in this little hide away. The restaurant is VERY clean, the atmosphere is authentic Southern California and the portions are generous.Try the coffé de Oro.
Served up old brown guacamole. Salsa is too watery. And their monster burrito was huge, but needed more sauce on the top. The juices of meat were tasty. And seeds inside chile rellano was not good

First time at "El Chilitos Mexican Reataurant"This is a A Family Restaurant.I am a HARD TO PLEASE person.I Highly recommended. Waitresses Check on you constantly if want more chips, salsa & drink refills.Service was A++Food was A+. Spanish Rice tasted like the real "red Spanish Rice" Salsa was also great.We like what we ordered.Definitely coming Back. ?
Burritos are bomb! They hook it up with chips and salsa as well. Great place to get full quickly. I highly recommend.

I had dinner here last night 12/20/21 and let me say it was a phenomenal experience. Best biggest Mojarra Frita I have ever had. Fried ice cream was the complete package to finish a great dinner with dessert. I’m not sure if he was the manager/owner but he made me feel like I was family and belonged there….and that is a rarity I never get to experience being a black woman walking into a Hispanic restaurant. For that this restaurant deserves 1000 ⭐️‘S!!! Thank you for the great food and such wonderful treatment of a first time visit who happens to be on the chocolate side of black…hehehehe. No seriously, I love this place!!!
