Good place to grab pizza and a salad. Quick service. Pizza comes out super hot so be careful of the first bite. The salad is a meal for sure. So it was pepperoni pizza and the Garden Grove salad. That salad because not only did it look good but also because I lived there for 5 years when I was a little kid. Both were very tasty and filling. They had Dr. Pepper with real sugar. Yum. Overall a pretty good place and very well located on a corner where you can find lots of parking.
Great staff, good ingredients, high prices for what you get. It’s owned by Cohn Restaurant Group, and has been diminishing portions for a while. Keep in mind these are barely 11” pizzas and very thin crust. Cut into 6 slices and barely enough to feed 2 people. Also used to have a much better selection of non-alcoholic beverages, it’s a shame they went more beer and seltzer heavy. This place was amazing when it first opened 9 years ago, but I won’t be going back.
For a pizza place just across the street from the ocean ....you figure they could skimp on things based on location alone ...or they could be so darn expensive that "the surf spay on a windy day" is worth the increase.....but they are "reasonable"!The pizza was very good! Had the Buffalo Solder with a Cesar salad...where the salad on the other hand was not nearly on par with the pizza. Maybe they had a bad batch....but the lettuce was of poor quality.They also have a Gluten free cauliflower crust my wife (who has celeac disease) liked!AWas a little disappointed in the drink selection! It was very slim and looked "picked over"! A number of EMPTY slots! A HUGE "NONO" for a restaurant!Staff was very friendly and always working which makes up for A LOT!Glad we came....
Highly recommend...food is delicious...my only issue was they flat out charge you a 4% fee due to COVID.Just saying I think that is BS.
I really liked this place. The pizza was really good. I got a super basic one, so it was nothing crazy. The atmosphere of the shop is really cool. Everything plays into the theme. The cashier was super helpful. Prices slightly high but fairly reasonable. Would definitely recommend!
The pizza was delicious and they were super fast. It is such a great location. So close to the ocean that we decided on a picnic at the beach.My son has been raving about this place. He is recently Vegan and was impressed with the options and taste. I got a make-your-own with white sauce, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Yum.It is super cute inside, but really loud. Like we couldn't hear each other. So that is good to know if it makes a difference to anyone. But lots of outside seats or a short walk to the beach.They have a huge selection of bottled drinks that looked like hard ciders etc. and I tried a Butterscotch Root Beer that was so good.There is a reasonably priced parking ramp just one block East if you need it. And it's a fun area to walk around. I am excited to try more here. The menu looked great! I would definitely give this place a try.
Pizza was really tasty, lots of toppings, very reasonable price. Salad was also very good, lots of turkey and real greens. Staff was awesome when their system dropped my order, and the chef offered me extra food and did not charge me for my order. Great customer relations! I will be back!
Loved the 'Satisfaction' pizza. Very fresh tasting with a semi-crispy crust. It was hard to choose from the selections and if there wasn't a combo exactly to our liking we could have chosen our own combination. The music was fun music from the 60's, 70's forward. Able to talk above the music to our friends. A small family was there along with some couples while we were there. Good selection of drinks (beer, soda and other) in the self-serve coolers. Service was fast. Just off of the beach, upper-level street off of the Pier.
I really love coming to ZigZag whenever I get a craving for pizza. The ability to order something off the menu or go completely in my own direction and make something up is awesome. I've never had anything I didn't like, the pizzas are made quickly, and who wouldn't want to eat with a view of the Oceanside pier and setting sun??Masks are required, but dining in is an option. All orders are made at the front register. There aren't any fountain drinks, but there's a huge selection of just about anything you could want to include beer and wine and there's even ice cream!! Be sure to grab those items before you order so you can pay without having to walk back against the line to get something.As far as the wait, I haven't really experienced one. The orders are fast, the pizza is fast, how fast you eat it is really up to you (I can't ever slow down, it's so good!).Last note, ZigZag shares a door with the hotel. If you want to use the restroom you'll need to leave the restaurant using the inside door and follow the hall to the hotel bathrooms. Super easy to do, place your order first, grab a table, and go. Just wanted to provide a heads up.Enjoy!
