Great service from all of the staff! Everything was fresh and clean
Underwhelmed by the quality of the food. Had the omakase. Sushi rice lacked flavor. Fish was ok, not stellar. Drove 40 min because it was listed in Eater 38. Wasnât impressed.
Service was slow and inattentive. Food came out at a different times. Some of the dishes were mediocre. Space and bathrooms were dirty and had a musty smell. Patio area had flies.
Everything was ok. Had the Omakase. A couple memorable bites, but nothing was bad. Last savory course could be much better. Uni butter cheesecake is very good. Too dark, table lamp was dirty to the touch. Service was mediocre for the perceived caliber of restaurant. Would dine again but wouldnât go out of my way to recommend.
We had the omakase and thought it was very good. One of the courses was a salad. That was probably the first time I had a salad as a course in an omakase. Our last dish was also a hot dish, not raw fish. So interesting and different omakase for sure. Also most of the fish are locally sourced, not flown in from Japan. We thoroughly enjoyed locally caught varietals. Overall we really enjoyed the food. The ambiance is a bit British punk, according to my boyfriend. So definitely not your normal sushi experience. We liked it!
The Omakase experience was awesome, as soon as you think the course is over, more food comes. All the fish was fresh and absolutely delicious. The new cocktails were tasty as well!
Unique and wonderful sushi
The sushi is the best here and the service was excellent. I'm so glad this restaurant is in Oceanside close to where we live!
