Me and my wife decided to try this place out after a few hours of shopping. Ended up at winco and decided... why not. We were hungry.My wife said her bean and cheese burrito was delicious.I had the Diablo taco. For me it wasn't bad per say but the few shrimp pieces I had in my taco... well one: two weren't de-vined and all of them still had the outer shells attached to them like picking a popcorn kernel out of my teeth. Overall 3 out of five. Flavor was an easy 4.5. The rest not so well. They need a porter or someone whom cleans the place daily as well. Bathroom was disgusting as well.Not trying to bash this place yet if it was run properly I would rate it a 4.5 because it has a lot of potential yet there is no unity.
Do not recommend.Never been upset with a burrito because how badly can you screw it up? Valerie’s did it, screwed it up. Baffled by the positive reviews, especially the 5 stars. Meat was salty and overall not good. Overpriced for what you get. Save yourself time and money, seriously.Restroom didn’t even have soap and cant help but wonder how the employees wash their hands.Sorry Valerie but not going again.
I stopped by because I say the sign from Winco. Figured I would try it out. I’m from out of town so I didn’t know if it would be good. The restaurant was clean and the portions were healthy. Tacos were fat, juicy and nicely seasoned. I am definitely going back because the food is that good.
We have been customers ever since they opened .. The first couple of years they were amazing the chicken burrito and the Carnitas burrito were absolutely fabulous!! We left a review several years ago because it was so good. Things change very badly, when you order things to be delivered. The last three orders have been terrible. The food that was delivered to us the last three deliveries was so horrible we could not even eat it - (plus it was incomplete and awful) we had to literally throw it in the trashcan. I will never - ever- order Valeries to be delivered again,. Which really sucks because if you go in there and order in person it’s really good. But during the pandemic and after we have supported - them (as a small shop) and thought we could order from them but it’s been awful!! sad to say - Buyer be ware! ?
Best Carne Asada burrito EVER. Did not research reviews just walked in and ordered. Best meat and tortilla, not too much guacamole and Pico. And green creamy salsa freaking hot and flavorful. Will be back when in Oceanside.
Good breakfast burritos and the Carnitas burrito will easily fill you up.
Over priced burned fish tacos,papato tacos ,incorrect order did not need 6 tacos with beans in them .not a great lunch experience when I ask to make it right was given an excuse definitely not returning
I never leave reviews but this place merits one. Where do I begin. This is the first authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve found in North County. However, the food is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s amazing. Sometimes it’s super greasy and gross. The chicken consistently seems like a safe option, but my husband is currently shaking on the bathroom floor from a violent case of food poisoning. He had the carne asada last night. He mentioned that it tasted different and I’ve seen other reviews of spoiled meat so I’d say you’re definitely taking your chances when you eat here. Could be great or you could end up on the floor. Best of luck.
Wow I'm leaving a review. What happened guys this food used to be good? Im a local and come by twice a month at least and never have any issues. Today I ordered 4 burritos - bean and rice , Pollo asada and 2 Cali burritos. Not only did I get charged for extra stuff that I didn't order but the chicken was so salty and gross I couldn't eat it. The Cali burrito were also nasty. I can't even say the bean and rice burrito was good because they charged me for extra rice and the dang burrito had like 3 grains of rice in it. .. y'all messed up bad cause now I'm grossed out and not going back.
Very friendly! Tacos tasted great, and u can tell they make their tortillas there. First time trying and will definitely be coming back
