They have great service but there food is terrible. It’s a insult to Italians to serve this b.s and call it pizza
Best pizza I've had! I'm a Vista local but moved out of town 11 years ago, and Upper Crust is always one of the first must-go stops when we visit! Amazing, pizza, spectacular hot sandwiches, great environment, excellent staff, phenomenal management, and lastly stupendous ranch dressing!
Came twice and both times weren’t open but your hours online said you were.Looks like I’ll be going to the one in Vista moving forward they are more reliable.
It was good. Its been a while since I last went here, and they completely remodeled the place. It looks real nice, with a modern feel to it. We got an hombre pizza, which is sort of like a taco pizza, and the one with extra garlic. Both were really good. I like how they have smaller size options as well, in case you want to order for one or try a few different pies without ordering enough pizza to last a few months. Good stuff, will get again.
Why did you put an entire pound of mushrooms - I mean like a 99-1 ratio / massive overload of mushrooms on a combo pizza? Why do you put raw tomatoes on a combo pizza? This was the worst pizza I’ve ever had. I literally threw it away after I laughed at how poorly made it was. I’m never coming back. Use common sense when determining the ratio in a pizza.
Some of the best pizza around. The salad is really good as well. This is my go-to pizza and salad place!

There is no shortage of places to get pizza in Oceanside, California. But the students of my class for teens with special-needs wanted to go to Upper Crust Pizza on Oceanside Blvd.I was pleasantly pleased!Firstly, they are one of the few local businesses that work with our school’s program to provide workability training for teens with disabilities.That speaks volumes to me.This means that they genuinely care about their community and are giving back in small “unseen” ways; by providing work/life skills to the next generation of our society.Upper Crust Pizza is centrally located at Oceanside Blvd and right at the crossroads of College Blvd in a shopping plaza that has a lot going on! But this location makes it accessible via car, bus and even local public train.The indoor seating is very spread-out because this establishment is pretty spacious.They’ve got some really super Lunch Special Deals that bring in the crowds in the afternoon and although their were empty tables, there was a quick turnaround and customers were coming in and out constantly.I also noticed a lot of public service workers (police & firemen) and this tells me they are a local favorite.You order up at front, then seat yourself with an ID Number and await your order.The wait time wasn’t half bad considering the size of our class and although there were some mix-ups with the order numbers, our food came within reason.I ordered the cranberry-walnut salad and it was very sizeable! Actually loved the flavors & portion a lot!! I was stuffed at the end!!After watching my students pizza & pasta plates, I soon realized why they loved this place.Their bathrooms were clean and had some automated options available and the only reason why I couldn’t give the last star is because their ice-machine was broken during the 2 hours we were there (easy fix).Overall, I recommend this establishment because they’ve got great prices for their menu size and they also give back to the community.
I usually have no problem at the Vista location and am a frequent customer. I chose this location as I was already in Oceanside. I advised I was picking up an online order and provided my name to the girl at the register. She asked to see a receipt - I was frustrated and had to walk back out to my car to get my phone; however, I did not say anything to the employee. I walked back inside the restaurant and showed my email confirmation. She said "Thank you" in a curt tone, walked away, grabbed my pizzas, set them on the counter, and walked away again without saying anything additional. I had to wait for her to come back to the register to make sure I was set to leave.
Always amazing...the salads are super good and the pizza is delicious! There is no other place I go for a fresh salad.
