This restaurant is exactly what Oside needed! Excellent food and service. If you haven't tried them, please do so. Will not disappoint!!!
Not sure how this place has 4.7 rating at the moment I am writing this review. But I had a really bad Indian food since long time. I ordered the most famous Garlic Naan, and Paneer tikka masala. Garlic naan was literally like a garlic cracker, and paneer tikka masala was so red in color that it did not even looked natural, and lacks in authenticity. My hands were red in color even after washing my hands with soap, just imagine how unhealthy it is when you consume it. For those who are looking for traditional North Indian food, this is not the place. Also the prices are off the roof for such an Indian restaurant. I understand that the pandemic might be a reason for this price increase, but please keep up the quality and authenticity as we are paying high price. Also, be prepared to wait for your order, if you are in hurry or dropping by at your lunch time, make sure you have enough lunch break time.I still wanna give 3 star as this was just my first experience here, not sure if it is how it is all the time though. I will try again for couple of times and update the review if needed.
Meteocre Indian food. I am Indian and have had Indian food at different restaurants along with authentic Indian food I can make myself or family members have made for me. We have a long drive home so we just opted to try this place. Regretted it.Was hoping the food was not going to disappoint me this bad.Chicken Tikka Masala was just okay.Goat Vindaloo was absolutely horrendous. They used red dye to get the colour to be THAT red, you can see by the BRIGHT RED potato in the picture. The goat tasted really gamey and it tasted really old. Man I wish when I asked if they could do Lamb vindaloo, they said no and left it at a just no, they offered goat vindaloo instead, we're feeling kind of sick. It went in the trash.Rasmalai was made with the same base as you would with kheer (rosewater/rose essence) Rasmalai is supposed to have cardamom flavour to it, but it was just okay, rasmalai is also supposed to have pistachio nuts, not pine nutsGalab Jaman was okay, not super duper soft but okay. The garlic on the garlic naan wasn't really cooked?Samosas were also just okay, only thing that was edible other than the Mango Lassi which was pretty decent actually.Even the rice was slightly undercooked and lukewarm.Overall, we'll never be back again. This is not how Indian food should taste. No way they would eat their own restaurant food.Waste of 70$ (not including tip)
I was craving Indian food one fine day with the intention of going to a place I have never visited before and stumbling upon this restaurant easily became the highlight of my weekend. Because of their open layout kitchen, I could see that everything I ordered from naan to the main course was actually prepared fresh and right in front of me. The taste is another litmus test for its freshness and it absolutely didn't disappoint. Our mouths were full of delicious food and the our words were full of praise for the owner and the chef. Special shoutout to the non Indian (as informed to us by the owner) worker who made the chai better than most other places I have visited. A lot of raw material that goes into the sweets/desserts is grown in their own backyard. To add more context, I am someone who has tried Indian food in cities like New Jersey, Houston, San Francisco and LA and this quality is right up there with the very best. 5 and a half starts for Turmeric Hut !!!
I have been coming here off and on since they opened. Having opened during the pandemic, this place has certainly faced its share of challenges, including staffing, but I have to give them an extreme amount of credit. Not only have they pulled through, they have also maintained high quality standards with the food. Not once have I been disappointed! The chicken korma is to die for! Get the garlic naan! A wide menu that just burst with flavor, this is a restaurant to regularly patronize! Just a word of caution...when asked "how spicy?" if you are white (i.e. can't handle more spice than Doritos), say "none.". Their in-house interpretation of "low" will still leave you guzzling water! But the flavor is still there after your sinuses get over the shock!
Amazing!! If there were 10 stars it would be 10/10 or 100. This place is the best especially after a workout lol. Smells good, looks good, and taste beautiful! Great culture seems family owned which makes seem as if you were being catered at their home.Hospitality and customer service is also a plus I recommend this place to everyone because it’s a small slice of heaven. Thank you for all the amazing meals.Sincerely,
Amazing food!!! They make things with fresh ingredients and you can totally make that out with the taste of the food!! Simply delicious!!Every dish tastes authentic and fresh! Just love the food and the friendly staff!
My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this place. We read the reviews the first time we ordered and picked the least spicy level because I can’t do spicy, and it was the perfect amount. I don’t think I’d want to try any spicier. You also have to be sure to order well in advance. They are super busy, and the place is very small. But they’ve got smiling friendly faces, and the food is authentic and AMAZING. We are lucky to live so close!
We took take out from here. I made a phone order and the food was ready to be picked up when I arrived after 20 mins. The food we ordered ( chicken biriyani and chicken Tikka masala ) were.good. chicken biriyani was better compared to other restaurants I had eaten in Carlsbad ( couple of restaurants). While taking my order , they specifically asked the spice level and medium level ( 5/10) is also a little spicy for kids to eat.I will definitely try out other items in the menu next time.
I didn’t give it a 1 star review because the food is still pretty good, but the service is not great. The first time we came we waited 2+ hours for our food. We thought maybe it was just because they recently opened and decided to give it another try. It is 30 minutes past the expected pickup time and my husband is still waiting on our order. I do not recommend this place.
