Favorite place for pulled pork or brisket. Several sides to choose from but the mac and cheese is my favorite... also french fries, collard greens, cole slaw, smoked beans, corn bread, house salad.This is one of two locations. The other is Miss Kim's which is nearby on PCH in downtown O'side. Like the atmosphere better at this second location BUT parking can be an issue. Food is so good at both ~ they do catering?Brewery shares That Boy Good location and full bar at Miss Kim's.
AMAZING! hidden gem bbq place in oceanside. There is south seating so your not waiting forever like the other places. Inside of a brewery. You hafto check this place out!!
Best Mac and cheese ever! And the outdoor seating is the best - warm with a sea breeze.
I had their pulled pork and barbecue ribs and both meals were delicious. This is a casual place, great for joining your friends for a beer and sandwich. Service is good and fast, I will be coming here again!
Always friendly. Good selection of IPA's. I don't usually eat catfish, but they fry it to a real good crisp. The jalapeño cornbread is so good!

We had really good take out, but the building signs were confusing. It is located inside a brewery, but does not say TBG anywhere on the building. Ribs were tender and tasty, only a hint of smokiness. Brisket also very good, could have had a bit more char or smoke. It came with a griddled brioche bun , delicious sandwich. Beans and cornbread just good. Well packaged take out, One HUGE plus....it is much easier to park at this location, they have an off street lot. . (Last time we went to Miss Kim's on N. Coast Highway someone knocked the mirror off of our car)
So we don't do bbq much because it's usually garbage. But this place is Diggity! We sampled 4 things Brisket fries... super tasty and tender Brisket, with great crunchy fries, and a nice melted cheese with bbq sause...delish! We had the Freto pie...dang! This was yummy and cheesy and chili goodness. House salad for greens so our heart won't revolt...they do have good ranch. And we had the pork ribs... tasty but they came out a bit cold so didn't enjoy thm as much, but the bbq sause has a nice flavor.Service was super friendly and she was willing to give us extra sause...etc. will be coming back here again!!!
Amazing!!! It is the best BBQ in the world, compliments to the chef! It transported me back to my childhood vacations to the south - this food is EXACTLY the same as what you would find in LA, AL, FL, and GA. You must get the cornmeal catfish, brisket, and spiked sweet tea. I will be back for the bloody mary with rib & chicken and waffles.
