Literally the best sushi spot that’s kind of a hidden gem in Oceanside as I hadn’t heard of it only due to it being tucked away off Oceanside blvd very close to the Frazier Farms before the I-5 fwy entrance. With a better location this place would definitely be consistently over-crowded with people as the food and service is if top notch quality. I’d recommend trying this spot over most other sushi places in the local area especially if looking for a nice quiet restaurant to eat at with exceptional service. Try it out for sure
Service was great but the sushi was terrible. The food was way overpriced would not recommend. Never been to a to a worse sushi place. Last point if you come here bring your dog, it will be the only one eating! On the way back to our hotel we stopped at del taco for a way better meal!
Decent lunch special for the price. I wish they would have included california roll or spicy tuna roll like I've had similar in L.A. area for a few dollars less and they included ice cream. Specialty rolls were half price at lunch so I may go back and try one next time.
I went for dinner with my significant other and right off the bat the host did not have any customer service manners. She told us to follow her and simply point us to a table and threw us the 2 paper menus. This was our first time there and we didn’t know exactly how the process went so we had to ask the lady to come back and explain. She took my boyfriends menu and asked what we wanted, this took us back because we weren’t ready to order, we simply wanted to ask why there were boxes on the menu as if to check off. She stated that they were for her. We ordered and waited for a while. After a while another lady, whom I assumed was our server, brought us our drinks and she as well did not have any manners. She gave us our drinks practically shoving them towards us to the point where my drink got spilled on the table. Both my boyfriend and I looked her at her to see what her problem was and she simply walked away. The food itself was not bad, I will say that. It was pretty good for the price they were at. While my boyfriend and I were eating I could see both of the ladies across from talking to each other and only staring at us. It felt very uncomfortable because it was very obvious and we weren’t the only people there. So there was no excuse as to why it was only us they were staring at. We finished up our dinner quickly and left the restaurant, when our hostess, an older woman with glasses, followed us outside yelling at us asking, “No tip?!, No tip?!” And both my boyfriend and I were taken aback. The lady still expected us to tip her after such a terrible experience. I told her no to answer her. She scoffed at us and gave us a rude face, as if she was mad at us for not tipping. I can safely say both my boyfriend and I will never be returning to this place.
I had “Lunch Time” Sashimi plate. Great food for price. I also ordered Yellow tail sashimi separately, were a bit “dry” side and also a bit over priced for what I got.
Food was great and the service was fantastic. If you eat in you get a discount! So much food for only 35 bucks. Will definitely go back. My new favorite sushi place.
No longer offering All You Can Eat but haven't bothered to update this. No AC, doesn't even have ice water. Sushi was same quality as Costco sushi but 4 times the price.
Just finished lunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was great and the owner and staff made us feel right at home. We have a 10 month old daughter, which means we don’t eat out very often. They made sure we were taken care of and even gave our daughter a special dessert. We found our favorite local spot.
Sashimi was not terribly fresh, the quality of fish was a 6 out of 10. some came nearly frozen. Very barely average sushi … whoever is rating this highly clearly has never had good sushi.Rolls - ok … service was very good actuallyUnfortunately I cannot recommend this place.
If you’ve ever had Japanese food IN Japan this will be a disappointment. We couldn’t even finish our ramen. The meat and egg was way over cooked. The noodles were sticky and generic. The Karaage in the kids set was like spare pieces of the chicken and also over cooked. The sushi was tolerable for US standards and the best part of the meal. However the rice to meat ratio was disproportionate and made it hard to eat. Some people may like this because there was less rice and it seems like you are getting a good deal. But it was messy and not to proper sushi expectations.
