The owners are so kind, they treat you like Ohana. Great atmosphere, friendly and the food is 'ono. I highly recommend you go try Honestly Hawaiian. you won't regret it.....
Enjoyed this island style food as the portions were generous and tasty. The Korean style short ribs and chicken were onolicious! Can't wait to try the LocoMoco and Kalua pig on the next visit. I highly recommend this hidden jewel.
Annoyed that the website says 9pm. Also that they closed 15 minutes before 8pm. This is definitely not like the other Homestyle Hawaiian near Mesa College…. Just a bunch of drop out kids.. where is the family-owned type of service??! Even L&L has better service.. Suuuper disappointed.
You can smell how good the food is when you walk through the front door..The food was hot,i liked the hamburger patty which is key to a good loco moco.Gravy was bomb.The staff is friendly.I suggest go with patience and the wait will be wort it..Oishii!!!!
Delicious ?. Whenever we come to Oceanside we eat here because it is always good. They opened indoor seating again so we could eat there.
We loved the food here but half the time they are out of it. They give there employees there lunch all at the same time so they close the restaurant for an hour in the middle of the day why not just give everyone different breaks and stay open?. I ordered food and got there then had to wait in my car for an hour for it because they were on lunch and it’s from 2-3 or something seems like a busy time that they are closed for. They are nice people it just doesn’t seem like it’s being managed/operated very well. If you wanna eat here foods great just incredibly inconvenient and time consuming so make sure you have the time. just created a google account to write this review. I tried to order Teri beef through door dash they cancelled my order I called homestyle Hawaiian to ask why. They said it was cause they were out of it And to get a different meat so I put in a new order for katsu and lava and that order was cancelled. I called again they said they were out of all those meats too. I won’t get refunded for 5-7 days that’s about $80 I don’t get for a week now when I need to pay my car insurance in a couple days. It’s just frustrating at this point they are always out of everything I get this situation in particular is partly on doordash but this was pretty much the cherry on top for me.

Food preparation here is a hit or miss, mostly a disappointing miss. Last time, we ordered two salmon entrees because they were out of meat (it’s Thursday and opened less than an hour) and ended up with undercooked rice and sauce spilled all over the food and bag. Barely edible salmon but mac rice saturated with soy sauce. Still waiting to hear from owner “Adel” (Oceanside location) because last two orders were bad as well. We have been ordering weekly but we can’t afford to waste more money for sub par food.

Shrimp scampi was fantastic but atmosphere/service was lacking. The restaurant music was playing in the background but the girl up front had her speaker playing her own music that wasn’t clean (glad I didn’t have any kids with me).There was also a ton of things they didn’t have in stock, the drink machine was completely out of order so you could only buy certain canned drinks, and every single table was dirty. Could’ve been a better experience.
