Great place to enjoy sushi and a fantastic happy hour! We ordered the miso soup, nigiri happy hour plate, and two salmon avocado hand rolls. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Absolutely loved it! Forgot to take photos sadly.
Tried for the first time. Walked into a beautiful atmosphere, great menu, and smiling front desk to then be greeted by a server in daisy duke cut offs and a tube top 2 sizes too small. I'm not against casual style clothing, but it was far below what I expected and tbh a complete hotmess look. Our food timing was not coordinated, it was almost 10 minutes between the first dish brought out until the last person's dish arrived. Having, myself, worked in industry for over 15 yrs I know there is no circumstance that allows excuse for such a difference in timing. If one dish is known to take a longer amount of time then others it is the kitchen's responsibility to time the rest of the food to come out with it. When we finished we requested boxes, they didn't come. Our desserts arrived and we ate them with our old food still sitting beside us. Prebussing apparently isn't a thing the staff is required to preform. We still tipped 20% bc we are industry people, but for the cost of the food and potential of the space I was beyond disappointed. Won't be back.
My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday(4/11/2022). This was the only food we had eaten throughout the entire weekend. We waited until dinner time and got a large meal which consisted of three platters of food and cheesecake from this restaurant on Saturday, along with the photo attached on Sunday.We ate all of it and then the next day (today) we have been vomiting and having diarrhea throughout our entire day. We have eaten nothing else besides this food during our weekend.I am convinced that this place had given us food poisoning, which is disappointing because we’ve been here before and have loved the food! We got new meals this time, and I feel like they weren’t prepared properly. We were supposed to have a nice date and now we are in loads of pain.I have been vomiting all day long and having my stomach is in a lot of pain due to eating this food. I am disappointed, since I spent a lot of money on this food yesterday.(Edit: The stomach issues lasted for 2-3 days for us, which began the following Monday morning after our dinner at Harneys). Oceanside has many lovely places, I’d suggest going somewhere else.
Great selection of vegetarian/vegan menu. The vegan rainbow roll was delightful and unique with fruit flavors on top. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Recommended for anyone interested in vegetarian/vegan sushi.
stopped in for their happy hour and some warm sake. Pretty good deal on their chef choice nigiri, 5 pieces for $8. Sea bass was my favorite. Surprisingly busy right after they opened at 5pm, but Angelica the bartender was kind and sweet.
Dinner for four on a Wednesday. Service and ambiance were very good. Inventive, maybe overly complex, rolls and very fresh, delicious nigiri. The rolls emphasize tempura, which isn’t my pref, but to reach his own. With a trip if you’re having a hankering for sushi, especially if price is not a consideration.
Food was good, but issues getting a mixed drink, it took forever, and then it wasn’t correctly made, twice. Felt rushed to order.
We didn’t have reservations but were seated pretty quickly. Very crowded on a Friday night, but the service was excellent. Sushi was high quality and delicious.
The food was amazing, but it took over nearly 2 hours before we got our food. I wish I could say it was worth the wait, but that's way too long. The server was great and it didn't seem to be her fault. We left a good tip for her and told them we were leaving after 1.5 hours of waiting. Of course, the food was only a few minutes more, several times after asking. Needless to say, we asked for boxes so we could just take it home.
We came 1/21/22 for dinner ? and we had sushi ?, the salon plate was fire ?The edamame was with garlic and spicy sauce !The beer ? ( Soporro) was cold and refreshing and on draft !We sat at the bar and we got service with Rachel and she was friendly and on top of it !We also got to meet David ( the general manager ) he also had great hospitality and very charming and welcoming! He had a nice smile ?❤️????The bathroom was clean !Parking structure is down the street and it’s free !They had live music ? and the total experience was worth it !For the money spent it was worth it !Definitely recommend it for a nice date or a nice girls night out into town
