After they sit you they bring you a basket of delicious corn bread muffins with butter. They have a lot of Louisiana style food on the menu. I had the Fried Cajun catfish with a seafood Cajun sauce that had crabmeat, crawfish, and shrimp in the sauce. It was delicious.
Been here a handful of times. Most of the time it was a pickup order. This was actually the second time I'd ever dined in. The very first time was when they had first opened. Today, the food was exceptionally good. I ordered the brisket with a side of collard greens and cabbage. The brisket was tender, juicy and not overly sauced. The greens and cabbage were nicely seasoned. The cabbage had a sweet buttery flavor and it still had a bit of a crunch (which I prefer).The staff were friendly and attentive. They provided good service.The only negative was that the lighting could be a tad brighter, especially for tables near the back (by the bathrooms). Otherwise, this was a very pleasant experience.
Outstanding bar b que ribs have a great bite and the sauce is liquid gold it so delicious !!! It's good down home cooking catfish, sandwiches , brisket collard greens mac and cheese red beans and rice shrimp por boy sausage , and the great service is just icing on the cake.....

The employees are very kind and attentive. However the cleanliness of the restaurant and the quality of food made me regret choosing to go to Felix's instead of my usual place next door. Issues: Ordered coffee and they didn't have regular creamer, they only have French vanilla. We asked for sugar because the sugar tray was filled with empty packets of opened sugar. Both of our coffee cups were extremely dirty. I ordered the fried Chicken and waffles because that is one of my favorite Southern meals and it was lacking flavor. We also ordered the salmon croquet and it was horrible as it was extremely dry, overcooked, and not fresh salmon. The cleanliness of the facility bothered me most. The floor is sticky and oily. Everything is covered in dirt or grease. Honestly if the food was spectacular the cleanliness would have bothered me less.
This is a good spot for BBQ in Oceanside!! It's tucked away in a very small strip mall with a couple of other businesses and restaurants. They have lunch specials that are offered daily, and they are a great deal
Omar is always helpful in our many questions. He answers all our questions w patience n a smile. That’s important when we are in our 60’s , 70’s n 90’s. All your staff regardless of how busy they are give the best service with a smile. We will always come back.I chose the ox tails w rice and gravy and fried okra as a side. Excellent just excellent. Tender with every bite. Yes I had left over and yes it was just as good if not better the next day for lunch.We left laughing, happy and full.

Small joint with delicious food and good R&B background. I had the fried catfish (they have grilled as well) with black-eyed peas and collard greens for sides. They bring two warm cornbread muffins with butter per person as soon as you sit down. John had the BBQ Spareribs with candied sweet potatoes and collard greens. Everything was excellent. The catfish, BBQ and the candied sweet potatoes stand out. Jaden and Mariah were fantastic and took good care of us. Its our new go to place.
