This place was great! I had the duck noodle soup which was fantastic. A depth of flavor. Really nice portion size. Also had the chicken wings and crispy rolls both were fantastic.
Pad Kee Mao and Avocado Green Curry are amazing. Very welcoming staff too. Great value.
Probably my favorite Thai restaurant in the East Bay. I brought a party of 16 and they were very accommodating. We all had incredible time and the staff were so so nice. Food was amazing, my favorite were the pad see ew and avocado curry.
We ordered takeout. Food is delicious, but very small portions, a little bit disappointed with that. However it's worth trying again.
While standards like pad thai and tom yum are on the menu, this smartly decorated neighbourhood spot has items not seen anywhere else. The yen tah foh — a noodle soup with tomato-based broth and perfectly cooked shellfish — was new in flavor. Eager to stop by again to learn more of what Thai cuisine can encompass.
Quality was excellent. I had the pad Thai, spicy with chicken and shrimp. It was fantastic. Also tried the Corn salad (which someone else at our table ordered) appetizer which tasted a lot better than I thought. Definitely give them a go if you're in the area.
I really enjoyed the food and dining experience. They have American Thai basics and some unique dishes as well, like the Tom yum omelette. I thought the pad thai was more wet than I'm used to. And even though, I enjoyed the tom yum omelette concept, I thought it was a bit watered down and not as substantive as I had hoped. The omelette itself was quite thin with a rubbery texture. I also had a tom yum cocktail which was spicy and delicious.
What an amazing surprise, ending in a brilliant happy place. Many thanks for the 1st visit.Next time, my puppy will join us outside.Thank you for being apart of Oakland's best.Peace
ATMOSPHERE:Looked to have a cozy interior, but we opted to sit outside. There are only three tables outside in a small space, but it's somewhat enclosed from the sidewalk so it still feels a bit more intimate. Located at the edge of rockridge, it's a relatively easy walk from the Rockridge BART.FOOD:Tom Yum Cocktail (very good): I took a sip of this and it was pretty good. It had quite a kick, and I like how much spice it had. The person who ordered the drink liked it, though said it was a bit on the sour side. I do not drink alcohol much, so I don't know how this compares to other cocktails so am leaving this unrated. Though I enjoyed it.Fried avocado and oyster mushroom (5 out of 5): If you're a fan of fried foods like pakora, tempura, etc, GET THIS! Actually, who isn't a fan of fried food? The avocado was soft and creamy on the inside but the fried batter was crispy and gave everything a crunch. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was also really really good.Pad Khee Mao (5 out of 5): This is my litmus test for thai restaurants, and they do it very very well here.Tom yum omelette (4 out of 5): Ordered this because I wanted to try something new that I haven't gotten anywhere else. It was indeed really good, with tom yum flavors in an omelette over rice. But my only complaint is that there just wasn't enough tom yum sauce, which was the whole point of the dish. Had to really scrape all the sauce from the dish to get enough to balance out the amount of rice and omelette. But the flavors were great.
