First time trying this spot. I love Ethiopian/Eritrean food however was highly disappointed with the quality of my veggie combo. The freshest thing in my platter was my salad and injera. The cabbage/potato and collards were old and inedible-very chewy. Almost like it’s been sitting for days. My lentil salads were very sour and stiff. And the red and yellow lentils were severely undercooked.. I’m not a picky eater so for me to say something my wasn’t good, I really mean it. I’ve never had a bad experience with this cuisine until today.. I hate to write a bad review but feel it’s necessary. I hope the restaurant can make some changes and offer fresher food. Don’t think I’ll be returning… :(
amazing food & service (: loved how when i ordered the lamb plate dish she asked me how spicy i'd wanted it. i dont do well with super spicy and after expressing that she made everything perfectly! came in a little after opening so service was fast. definitely plan on coming back with more friends! also the coffee is great! highly recommend grabbing a cup if youre eating here for brunch.
Delicious food that leaves you feeling healthy and happy. The owner could not be nicer. I eat here for lunch 1-2 times a week and love it. The two types of hummus are great for take out. Everything is lovingly prepared with fresh ingredients.
I almost never leave such positive reviews but I had to for this restaurant. So to start. The food was amazing!!I asked if they had any additional sauces and they whipped me up a fresh new sweeter sauce with honey that was just so good.Amazing food and atmosphere. I came on lunch and the food was super fresh and hot!
This is a very quiet spot. We found this by chance. The owner is the chef as well. She was very friendly and helped us choose the dish we wanted. Each dish comes with it's injera bread. We had the doro tips and it was enough to feed two people for lunch.it was very tasty and she made it at the right spice level. The friendly nature of the host along with the meal gave it a home cooked meal which speaks volumes about the hospitality. Would definitely go there again.
First time in there the food delicious
The Doro tibs and shouro (I’ve also seen it called shiro elsewhere) were great! I paid $12.99 for the doro tibs, and $9 for the shouro (which came with injera and a salad in a separate container, and ended up being another meal). Portions were very good, and the quality is great! There’s also some outdoor seating for dining in these COVID times. Highly recommend!
Absolutely the best Ethiopian food in the Bay Area .I am an Ethiopian and believe me I know good food from my country of origin.I am a vegetarian and the vegi combo is the best !!!!Elsa
The wrap I had wasn't that great. I'll have to try something different next time.
Awesome experience! The staff is really friendly and the food is great!
