4 items on their menu. The Tian Jin Dumplings are sooooo good. The soup base is so pure and refreshing. No MSG. It feels all natural flavor. Flakes of egg yolk (we call that egg flower), sea weed. The dumplings are so yummy. You get 10 of them. They serve super hot (in temperature). I recommend not adding any chili sauce so you can taste their natural flavor. The soy milk is also so fresh. Everything feels like home made and not restaurant food. Less than $12 for those two. Will come back again.
I've had the jianbing (savory crepe), tea eggs, and soy milk, all of which are delicious. I highly recommend getting the jianbing spicy - it's not very hot but adds a lot of flavor. Call ahead to avoid a 10-15 minute wait for the jianbing!
This place is the best kind of hole in the wall: Only four things on the menu, and all of them delicious, fast, and inexpensive. The savory crepe is my go-to for breakfast or a light lunch. Solid wonton soup too! Pro tip: The little mall across the street has nice benches and fun people watching while you eat :).
You know the food is excellent when the menu is small. I tried everything but the wonton soup and I felt like I was eating good in mainland China. Their soy milk is the best even without sugar. I don't know what's going on with these negative reviews. Probably the competition fabricating lies.
Simple but delicious. Real authentic Jian Bing is so hard to find but they've got it!!
Everything is consistently great: wonton soup, jianbing, tea eggs
The dough of the jianbing was done perfectly right, I’m more used to having crisps inside instead of youtiao though. And could probably use some cilantro and more sesame seeds too to make it more like what I remembered from China. The soy milk was really good, we got the sweet version.Tea eggs were flavorful and not overwhelming. The wonton soup was also fairly good.I really appreciate restaurants who do a few things but do them really well, and even though this place’s menu is only 4 items long, I really do appreciate it.
OOOOH boy! The jianbing guozi (煎饼馃子) + soy milk here really hit the spot. One of my favorite places for a quick bite in all of Oakland
Pictures on the window show exactly what you're getting. Great for a quick bite and comforting soy milk!
The best Jiang Bing around. Super nice people too.
