Iâve written before that this is a good pizza place. The food is good and the portions are generous. Prices are reasonable for the quality (theyâre not cheap- if you want cheap, go to Dominoâs). Service is excellent. Remember youâre buying pizza and thatâs what Iâm reviewing. If you want luxury, go to Quince, but if you want good pizza and appetizers, go here.
We eat here a lot. Good service, yummy cocktails and the food is fresh, simple and savory. Nice bar to sit at too.

After dining I received an annoying email that I didnât show up for my reservation even though the concierge knew to specifically checked me in for my open table reservation. The menu says vegan cheese can be substituted for regular cheese but then they charged me an additional topping fee. Food and service (waiter) were good. Management and checking in has issues.
This was my first time to The Star and it was great! My girlfriend and I both had a few of their Flor de Agave cocktails which were sweet, tasty and refreshing. We shared an order of wings and a small caesar before having the Meatball pizza. All the food was delicious, and the pizza was plenty for the two of us (and we had about half left over to take home). Our server was also excellent! He was super friendly and very attentive. We'll definitely be back, especially for Happy Hour!
I have visited Star Pizza about 10 times, and every occasion was worthwhile. They serve both thin and thick crust, and the food comes out quickly. A nice bar and a good variety of wine and beer to go with your food. Really nice staff and customers are considerate/friendly. Just a great place for lunch or dinner, and the pizza is well above the competition.

Our family has been to The Star on Grand many times, including during COVID. This past visit the hostess refused to seat us because we didn't have proof of vaccination for our 6 and 9 year old children. I found the requirement quite offensive and our family won't be coming back anytime soon.
Memorable pizza, fun people, and a good location. What’s not to like?
Wait staff were super accommodating of our time restrictions due to a concert we were attending and the food was delish. Thin crust pizzas are very thin and so yummy! We were pretty hungry so a 16” only left us with 2 pieces for leftovers for 2 people. Fun cocktails, too!
