Saap Ave has the best takeout on Piedmont Ave - for both food and cocktails. It’s Lao (similar to Thai) and the salads, mains, appetizers, all will be enough for leftovers. I wish they could open for table service.
This is a very good restaurant with inventive food and enthusiastic staff. Very pleasant setting. It's popular for a good reason, good quality food at a reasonable price.
I've had dinner a few times. The location is perfect and feels safe to park. The food is authentic Laotian/Thai mix. The chicken wings appetizer is perfectly seasoned and very tasty. The pumpkin curry is very good! The bar has creative cocktails too. The only negative would be the interior lighting - it is way too dim inside and very difficult to read the menu.
Love it. Love the people, the vibe, the A+ scotch bar, proximity to Kona, the curries, the crew. All good.
Went here for a holiday party. The food was marvelous with alot of vegetarian choices as well as carnivore dishes. The cocktails were awesome. I had not ever been there before but will make this my go to restuarant for Thai/Cambodian cravings. Please try this great place out. You won't be disappointed

Opens at 5pm and gets really packed I made reservations so I highly suggest that you do so. I seen a lot of to go orders so this place is pretty popular I think especially on a Sunday. Started out order with Laos style papaya salad medium spice which was sooo good. Then came our platter which had sticky rice/sausage/egg rolls/nam kao/noodles and sauce with lettuce and herbs all tasted great. Then came the fried chicken larb (which I never had this version) was very tasty. Two soups came (pumpkin curry and ka poon) pumpkin curry was on point so that I recommended, the ka poon was good but I think it was missing something but still tasty. Had the sticky rice with mango and that was ok I think the mango may have been to soggy. The ambiance is good it’s dim inside though oh and the waitress was very sweet and kind, she accidentally spilled and dropped our left over as she went to the kitchen (we were taking to go) and she ended up making me a new one to go. Overall this place is good I will be coming back here again with friends.
I go to this restaurant often! This is my favorite spot to eat. I go to this spot many times. The meals are fantastic, the staff is welcoming and the prices are fair. I enjoy being in this place to have a good dinner.
