The Lede is the best! I rented out their parklet for a birthday party, and I’m so happy I did. All I had to do was pick out the menu and The Lede took care of the rest! My guests loved trying all the cocktails, and the Caesar eggs were a crowd favorite. Our server was very attentive and freshened up the food and drinks so we never ran out of anything. I highly recommend The Lede for parties or to treat yourself to a night out.
Adorable staff, beautiful atmosphere. Drinks were solid and the little tapas for happy hour were amazing. Will be coming back.
Originally we were going to Mama's but the line was down the block. I was edging into hangry territory so we didn't want to wait. I'm so glad we found The Lede instead! I took previous reviewers' suggestions and got the banana granola pancakes. They were amazing!! The service was fast and there was no wait for a table. The perfect breakfast combination!
Their “shotdog” combo is amusing. The drinks are just fine; the hot dog is… eh… The interior is nice though, and the patio is great.
Simply a wonderful experience with great staff all around. Will be coming back for many more good times!You definitely have to try the (S)hot Dog, their signature hot dog/shot/beer combo.
The food was so dang good. Felt like I gained a couple super powers after eating the fish and vegetables. My friends and I also grew closer over the meal. Glad we all came on a Friday night together and shared this experience. Bury the lede inside my belly! Friendly staff as well.

Food is outstanding. Cocktails on point. The snack box is our go to. They’re slowly reopening after a change in location due to the pandemic. Get there before they blow up and you can’t get a table!

Eating at the Lede is like having dinner at home with good friends. Everyone is so nice. You're comfortable and feel welcome... BUT the best part, is you aren't making dinner, dinner is being made by the world class chef Cal Paternell. YES! Cal, thank you for coming to Oakland! The changing menu never disappoints, the quality of the food outstanding and the price reasonable.
