My friend brought her small dog, so I needed a restaurant where we could eat outside. The Fat Lady Restaurant met and exceeded our expectations.I had their Bert & watercress salad and Reuben sandwich. My friend had their French onion soup. Our waiter was attentive and listened to my instructions as to when to serve my Reuben and my friends onion soup. We stayed to have dessert; espresso parfait and cream burlee. With one cocktail added, the tab was $$$ with tip. Well worth it, as we were there 2-1/2 hours.
I've been coming here for a long time and it's always a great place to eat. The hostess is always glad to see you and you can sit inside or outside your choice. A very charming place to dine
An absolute treat! Has the ambiance of a “House of Prime Rib” without needing a reservation 3 months in advance. This is a place where the wait staff treats you like you are a special guest, and the food is delectable. Apologies some of the pictures were taken mid-meal, it was just that delicious! Definitely will be visiting again, and bringing more folks next time. Also don’t forget to catch the board walk in Jack London to walk off some of the calories afterwards!
Shared the French toast, corn beef hash, and salmon omlette. All very tasty! The atmosphere is super super cute and very unique with lots of history and character. Definitely would recommend. The outside seating area looks cute too although we got a table inside because of the flies.
Very pet and child friendly, plus the food is delicious. The scallops were perfect and the boulevardier was amazing. Between the great food and friendly staff, as always, we had a wonderful experience.
Speakeasy style restaurant in Oakland. Food and service was great. I had the watercress and beet salad . Very tasty, but the portion was on the small side. My husband’s Rubin was very tasty. We also enjoyed a bowl of French-onion soup.
Awesome restaurant! Great tasting food! Excellent service! We called for a seating and they were able to squeeze us in. We were not rushed at all. Highly Recommended! (Food was 25 to 40 per plate plus a couple of drinks and extras each pushed the bill to 80 per person) Well worth the visit! I'll be back again!
Awesome food. I came here to try the cocktails though they were all amazing. I really enjoyed my experience. Will definitely be coming back to try more food and drinks. I feel like i got things here i really don't see anywhere else
Great atmosphere, good food! Service was a little slow but I have a lot of compassion for servers these days!
