We have been there many times, however this was the first time for the flamenco show and it was fantastic.
Everything we ordered was good. We especially loved the halibut tapas.
The menu selections seem to have decreased, but what was available was ok. We had the Pesce crudo which was very good. In addition we shared 3 other tapas which seemed ordinary though they tasted good. The staff was not particularly friendly as they didn't know how to deal with older women. Tant pis. We will not be back.

Oh, how times have changed. We were with another couple before a show recently. Wish this had been a better experience. Only two beers available, and both were light and slightly sweet. I did not finish mine. The wine selection was limited, and the bottles way over-priced. Mayhap Duende offered some real choices on beer and dropped the price by $5-$10 on the bottles of wine, people would drink a bit more. The flat bread with lamb panceta (COCA PICANTE de SAMFAINA) was a soggy mess. Plus, temperature was cold when it arrived. Not enjoyable. We ordered two dishes of the same paella (ARROZ NEGRO), which was good (not great). Difficult to get some bread. When it arrived, we essentially received a slice of sandwich bread toast cut into pieces. The charge for the toast was $3.50/order. Spanish food in the Bay Area has become hit or miss. Previously, we were Duende fans. In fact, we only ate here on the subject occasion based on our recommendation. But, the food was mediocre at best, the drinks were limited and over-priced, and the service very spotty and inconsistent. Has COVID ruined so many places and taste buds and energy levels that this passes are a five-star experience? Think not. Not going back. -- Workingman's gourmand.
As usual, Pausa was excellent! The food was delicious, but the service really made the evening special.
Seating was quick with reservation, server was nice made you feel welcomed, got our food at by the time we wanted and left full and happy. Food was amazing full of flavor. Will return.
Casual but sophisticated so it felt special but unpretentious.
