Always fresh! And delicious! And joyous! Lovely people and really enjoyable food. The duck pho with egg noodles is phenomenal, right down to the cabbage and mushrooms. Oh also- the avocado smoothie is very good.
Very nice place in Oakland by the lake. It's got an nice open space and has night out door dining to. So many options with food that I enjoyed. Good service was fast and good. And prices were good. Overall good experience and good food. Would recommend for a group of friends.
There are two Vietnamese restaurants side by side, this one and Pho King next door. Today Pho King was 75% full, this one had no one in it and I can understand why. I ordered beef and shrimp vermecilli which is suppose to include an egg roll as well. It even says so in the menu. They didn't bring my egg roll and when I asked them about it they said it was my fault for not asking for it. No, it wasn't my fault, its yours so do your job correctly! They also overcharge for drinks, like $6 or $7 for ice tea. Plus the beef in the vermicilli was very tough and hard to chew. Pho king has better food, prices, and services.
This place was wonderful!! We saw it opened up a while ago but today we finally tried then out. The hostess was so kind and quick!!! The soup I got was the crab and tomato bowl. Sooo delicious!!! I'm definitely coming back to this place!!!
I am vietnamese, have tried so many vietnamese restaurants in Oakland. I can say that Tasty bowl is the best vietnamese restaurant in the town. But I'm sure not many people knows that. The menu doesn't have many dishes but the quality is excellent, like you are in Vietnam. I tried all in the menu, all is the best that i can find in USA. Everytime i finished the plats, nothing left in the bowl. I tried the restaurant beside - Pho K.. but it made me very disappointed, maybe it is good enough for the American because they don't know how the real vietnamese taste is, but it is only zero for the real vietnamese like me. Everytime i go out for lunch or dinner, Tasty Bowl is my first choice. Price and customer service are great too.

Had grilled beef vermicelli, which was not bad overall. The veggies were very fresh, spring was not bad, the beef was a little chewy, but flavor was ok.
Ordered vegetarian soup. Not the best, very mediocre. Seemed like they count the pieces of tofu you get. Also ordered Thai boba on my way out, super runny not worth $6.75. Not to mention that the waiter never came to back my table after I placed my order, being the only customer eating. I'll try nextdoor next time.
Milk tea is very good, food was average, very clean and very good service. Food was expensive for taste , but good value on the volume of food
