The packaging is nice but the food is terrible. The miso soup was so salty. The rolls although creative tasted like they were pre made and not fresh. To pay what I paid and to get sub par Japanese food was disappointing. The salad was good though…will not be back. Sorry..
They were good in the beginning but now it reminds me of dog food. It's like the sushi has been sitting out for hours rice was hard and the meat tasted like it was spoiled. Everything kind of had a sour taste to it.
One of the best hidden gems in Oakland I'm no sushi expert but it's some of the best I've ever eating. Andnot too many people know about this place so service is always fast and friendly.
When they first started their food was good. The prices were a bit high but we didn’t mind it as we liked the taste but one our last order the Thai tea has spoiled half and half. The rice was old in the Sushi rolls. It was hard to bite. I had to throw it out. ?
Never ever again, ordered from Uber Eats, looks good and yum on pictures but this trash tastes and is worse than Safeway sushi.
Great place for grab and go too. Very fast and good price!
I love the lion king rolls.
Love this place. I was very suspicious at first, a sushi spot in a gas station just didn't sound appealing. But then I tried it. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! When I'm having a sushi craving this is my go to spot.
Super good quality sushi, fast service and easy pickup
Ordered three rolls and edamame for delivery. As is our usual with any sushi from any establishment, we requested that every roll be made WITHOUT mayonnaise; we also requested extra wasabi and ginger. If there is a cost associated in complying with our requests, we pay it. If real crab in a mayonnaise base needs to be subbed out with fake crab, okay. I just don’t get the abundance of mayonnaise in sushi, but then I don’t use mayonnaise ever, at all (nasty stuff except in extremely limited places, and it’s just filler mostly). So, $68.85 later (including fees, tips, service, etc.) our food arrived in a timely manner. The fish and eel were fresh. One roll swimming in mayonnaise. Deduct one. Almost no wasabi included, at all. With this review is a photograph of two of the four wasabi packets. I thought this was a joke at first, but no, only the four tiny packets (0.09 ounces, each – from where is the wasabi coming, a street corner dealer?) Included. Deduct one. The one ginger packet was also tiny, even smaller than the ridiculous plastic containers one filled pre-COVID at take-out Mexican restaurants. See accompanying photograph. Deduct one. Too many of these take-out restaurants treat us as one-and-done customers. Look, I know COVID’s been tough on all of us, ESPECIALLY the restaurant business, its owners, and employees. I judge not in connection with the PPP money or if one decides to simply walk away from a difficult industry. But, lousy service and blatant disregard of express requests, without any explanation, need to stop. This place succckkkksss. – workingman’s gourmand
