Limited menu. No breakfast. Smallish sodas: No refills... expect to pay $7 to get 2 portions of soda pop or iced tea. Lots of "burger" choices. Ten dollar minimum to use your card. My burger, soda, and "refill" cost me $20! No inside dining, but the outside dining area is okay. This place has really slid downhill since the 1970s and 80s. Parking is roped off- limits for no obvious reason. Will not be returning, even though the location has great potential. PS: the owners should not be face front to the public (surly). Embarrassing.

My wife and I have gone to Sparky’s for over 25 years. We watched it undergo positive changes when it was sold to new owners about 15 years ago. Lately, we have been very disappointed with how dry the grilled chicken teriyaki has become. They grill the chicken ahead of time and then let it sit at the back of the grill until it gets dried out. This has happened the last two times we have visited Sparky’s. Today, I stopped by Sparky’s to pick up lunch and told them about the dried out chicken and asked them to make sure we got freshly grilled meat. Unfortunately, they were unable to manage this simple request! Yep, the chicken was all dried out again!!!! On top of this repeated quality problem, Sparky’s prices have recently gone up significantly, much more than inflation (perhaps they are also gouging their customers too!). To make matters even worse, I asked for the salads to be put in a separate plastic container rather than in with the meal, so they wouldn’t wilt. They charged me an additional $2.00 to do this when this service used to be free. Regrettably, we will no longer be going to Sparky’s. Sad and disappointed. Malcolm Davis, Oakland

Been a Sparky’s frequent flyer for years when living in the East Bay. This trip was another great one. Had a medium done double burger with blue cheese while wife had a bacon avocado burger. Patty is high need to fat ratio, the way like it. Just enough fat to be tasty but not more. Sweet potato fries are the best and you can feel they are home made, minimum processed, making them very tasty. Another great visit!

Got the salmon burger and sweet potato fries which were excellent! I will be coming back to try their other options.Prices were a little high with mine being 24$ for a burger fries and beer. The beer was only 4$ though which was a nice break.

Excellent burgers good ground beef taste fry zucchini every things good .They don't cook like fast food joints.

It was okay, nothing special. The place was busy and had a huge line, so I was expecting a good burger. The burger was below average and it had a thin beef patty. However, it had tons of lettuce, onions and tomatoes. The onion rings were NOT onion rings. Didn't taste like an onion rings and they looked more like deep fried calamari. Menu items very pricey too.

Good food and service. Speed too. They are fast at what they do. No in door dinning. Just out side and patio. But the patio looks amazing and worth to eat outside. Got the double avocado bacon burger. So good and tasty. Got that charbroil taste and make sure you have napkins. It get messy. But overall great burgers and services.

Loved the hamburgers! My 1st time here. You can order on site and pay without talking to cashier. Had to show proof of vaccination to dine in it was busy at lunch time but worth the wait. Glad I stopped.

Was a little disappointed. This was hyped up to me by so many people. It was a good value, but the burger was kind of bland, and the fries were the fat home-fry type, which isn’t my thing. Overall it wasn’t bad though. It is big and cheap though, if you’re looking for bang for buck.

I went to school nearby twenty years ago and was surprised this joint was still here and the food is even better than I remembered; still fast clean service.
