Technically these folks nailed it. The bark was tasty and thick, the smoke rings were deep and perfectly pink. All in all the barbecue was one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area.However, they lost it in the details. The dish was served under temp, which gave the meat a perception of dryness. The point of the brisket could have used some more trimming. The collards were over salted and a little undercooked.If these folks can nail down the small stuff, they van really make it happen.Also, for a busy Sunday, the service was great:)
Exceptional bbq in Oakland. I got the quad which was 4 meants. The brisket had a nice smoke ring and tender pull. The tri-tip was sliced perfect, had a nice ring and was very buttery. The ribs were very good, crisp bark that was perfect on its own but I put a little sweet/hot sauce and it was bomb. The beans were delicious and so were the collard greens. I will definitely be back for more!
One of, if not the best bbq I’ve ever had. Flavorful, cooked to perfection, and drinks were great. The place is also such a vibe - good music, chill people, with friendly and attentive staff.

The meat is delicious but the side dishes are horrible. The beans taste like theyâre from a Dan and the coleslaw lacks flavor. The overstuffed under serviced dining room encourages visitors to use the QR code to order, however, it didnât work? For the prices that they charge for meals they need to improve on their side dishes and plastic utensils?
Nice atmosphere with attentive staff and good food! Loved the Mac and cheese and greens!
very good BBQ, I had the ribs and the baked beans very good the wife had the combo plate with chicken & links with the potato salad she said it was very good to . very good Q
We showed up on time for our reservation on a double date and there were less than 10 customers seated and we waited over 15 mins for them to wipe off a table for us. The staff literally outnumbered the customers at this point. Once we were seated we were never waited on. Finally, my husband went to the bar to ask how to get service and we were informed that we must order at the front window with cash or use the QR code to order by phone. Sigh. The food eventually came and it was delicious. It got busy suddenly and a staff member named Alicia told us that we needed to move our table to accommodate the incoming party with a reservation. Lol. I was mortified and completely embarrassed that I chose this place to bring my husband and friends. I recommend this place for takeout only.
Excellent bbq we ordered the big meal w 5 meats 4 side, the rolls so soft and buttery. We were staying locally and pretty much did want to deal with the traffic and parking so we decided to have our dinner delivered. It was a bit pricey but once we had it, it was totally worth it! Delicious peach cobbler too! Grub hub forgot our pie, they sent someone else to bring it to us. Good thing because it was great! Totally recommended you try them. We even had leftovers to enjoy the next day.
Really outstanding BBQ, probably the best brisket I’ve had in a long time.
