The place was nice, order at cashier first then can order from additional drinks from server. We sat at the bar and was out for a day by the lake and some bar hopping. Drinks were good ?
Good tasting burgers but too much liquid made everything soggy including take out fries. Polenta was way too dry and would not recommend, but overall a good amount of food.
Good food, good service, good drinks, good view of lake Merritt. Nuff said.

We went for cocktails and then my friend got hungry.The drinks were exactly what we wanted, and the steak almost melted in your mouth and the fries were crispy and perfect..

Reliable, consistent, delicious. Best burger in Oakland, don't @ me. The ribeye is a deal if you want to go big, muscles are fantastic and the lunch time fishwitch hits the spot. Quality all around. Substitute sides to switch it up or make a healthy alternative. Great bar too. Really can't go wrong here. Love this place.
Sidebar has long been a go-to for later night food, with impressive consistency and great cocktails. However after a 4 year hiatus, I recently went back and was quite let down by the experience.
