This is one of The Bay Area's Top Chinese Restaurants(in my opinion) I've never been to in the BayArea hands down period. All I can say is it's a must try experience.Meaning in my opinion it's that good. . . Don't be fooled by the size of the Restaurants the service is on point as well is the food. ????
Ordered a Dandan Noodle from their menu which clearly specifies as Sichaun Style, I know the dish and its one of my favorite noodle. Came a funny looking handpulled noodle that's almost like sliced dough dipped in soy sauce mixed with peanut butter . Never know that is Sichuan style Dandan noodle. Asked the waiter lady and pointed to her the dish on the menu (Dandan Noodle Sichuan Style) just to make sure she got me right, and she said yes it is Dandan Noodle Sichuan Style. It seems like they tried to pass on somebody else's order on to me. It was busy so I didn't say a word, packed the noodle to go and threw it away. Does the picture look appetizing to you all? Also you can google Sichuan style Dandan Noodle, it is a very different noodle dish.
We got three dishes and an appetizer for three people and a toddler. The appetizer came out with the food but whatever. The food was very good. I would definitely go back. The service was great too. It was a great experience.
It's not the best, but reasonably priced and big portions. Noodle is fresh, they make them there, but not as delicious. Keep in mind that you need to add salt/soy sauce. Sizzling beef and scallop was meh. Overpowered by a specific spice (not sure what) and it was too saucy as I was expecting it to be cooked like fajita. Instead, they brought a very hot plate and poured the cooked dish into it.For the price and portion, quality was OK.
It had been almost 4 years since we were back to dine at Shan Dong! Service as always is warm and friendly and very quick! Portions are really big so come prepared to order less or have leftovers to take home :P Food is yummy albeit tad too salty for us. Place overall is clean but bathrooms could be little cleaner, it is always a struggle to visit the bathroom after eating a meal and not get grossed out.
Great prices, outstanding service, food is overwhelmingly great. Probably the best pot stickers I've ever had.Get there early, as there aren't many tables. Looks like they do delivery, though---maybe try that.
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Oakland (Szechuan style). They often get very busy but service is always fast and friendly.❤️Handmade noodles with meat sauce, shan dong beef
The best Chinese restaurant in town ?? amazing food, everything you lrder here will be delicious. Their staff is super warm and helpful, they'll anticipate any need you might have - they're way ahead in the game. Anything with their homemade noodles will be amazing. The broccoli was also yummy.
Shan dong represents an excellent combo of taste and value -- they have fantastic food for a good price, and you'll have a great experience while you're here.I won't take up too much time going through the specifics, butI'll recommend going with a good size group, and ordering a bunch of dishes, so you can share them family-style and really get to experience a lot of different varieties. When I stopped by Shan dong with a group of 7 friends, we ordered a number of different dishes, had plenty to eat (and even some extras at the end), and all told, I believe we spent less than $25 each. The hand pulled noodles are a must have -- Shan dong does a great job with them!Overall, highly recommend Shan dong, it's absolutely worth a try!
Literally the BEST CHINESE FOOD IVE EVER HAD. I love the small bustling environment inside. All the food is Sensational. This place gets busy! Fresh dumplings made on site in plain view. Love, LOVE LOVE this place. Yummmmmm!
