At first, I was put off by the meat-to-rice ratio (too much meat! A tad too salty!). Growing up in Hawaii, I was used to eating musubi and onigiri with more rice and less filling. But of course this isn’t that. So nice job on taking a Japanese rice ball and putting your own twist on it. The short rib and teri chicken musubis are delicious. They are great portable meals for on the go.
Their seaweed and rice triangles are one of the best I’ve tried.
It was nice having an overlflow of filling but I felt that some lacked flavor. My favorite was the salmon.I also...and I just figured this out, prefer cold onigiri.Though, If I'm ever in that part of town again and need a quick bite, I would have the salmon and spicy pork again.
Tried 3 triangles: salmon, chicken and short rib. Each triangle came with a good amount of protein served with rice and sauce, wrapped in seaweed. It’s a yummy handheld. My dh had the teriyaki chicken plate, and his serving (over rice) was huge! Both meals came with edamame, which I devoured. Loved how freshly the order was put together.
First time trying rice triangles and very good and tasty, I want to try all of them ?
Huge portions with the plates and the triangles were really good! It's an interesting setup because you basically make your own order on a tablet and not talk to a cashier to order which is all good. Even a Gen xer can do it lol :-)
The quality and quantity at Oori make this place well worth it. Whenever I find myself in this part of town I make it a point to stop in and grab a bite at this joint.
It took a long time but am the food was good
Very generously stuffed onigiri. Cool staff!
Super yummy onigiri with a few different vegan options! They have an iPad inside that you order from, which was great! The food was done really quick too. Definitely recommend.
