Nice and clean very friendly staff
I hadn't been to Oakland in at least 20yrs and so much has changed! Some for the good and, as everywhere else, the not so good, but this hotel is very nice.\\nThe staff were extremely helpful, courteous, and personable.\\nThe rooms are nicely appointed, but I did have an issue day 1 with a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. It dissipated shortly after being there a couple of hours and it was fine the rest of my stay. I noticed the same smell in a couple of spots throughout the City so it wasn't their fault..\\nThe bed was super comfortable so I got plenty of good sleep on this trip and I loved it!\\nHousekeeping answered my request quickly and accurately and Safety was High in priority here with mask on hand to hand out, sanitizer, and the redirection of anyone not behaving Respectfully. I was really pleased with my stay.\\nThey have Ballrooms, Fitness, and a really nice Restaurant on site as well.\\nIf you are ever in Oakland, California it is a great place to stay!
Our room was clean, comfortable, and furnished with quality materials. The cleaning service was polite and thorough.\\n\\nThe lobby staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfast staff was funny and helpful while doing a splendid job of making the omlettes yummy (substitute the egg whites for whole eggs ;) )\\n\\nThank you for making an out-of-town visit feel so welcoming!

I love Marriott! Always excellent service. My issue was the bathroom lighting was horrible. Maybe add an extra light over the mirror. Also I noticed that the wash clothes were “ Made in Pakistan”. That was odd to me since the other towels were a different brand. Any explanation? And the pillows were way to soft. I had to fold them in half to get any head support.
Came to the Marriott for a special occasion. Attended our cousin's fifty birthday celebration. The catered food was elegant and delicious. Overall set up the look the photographer family and friends had an extraordinary experience and fun. I would recommend the Marriott to anyone whether it be for entertainment or business.
Room is a bit snug. Location was good for the Bart which is the subway. I called for extra towels didn't get them for almost a hour. Bed was a bit too soft for my taste. The first night there was a party on the same floor music very loud it calmed down by 11pm. Glad there was a restaurant on site. The food was great. There was a guy that got in the elevator with me with no key it was strange and he wanted me to press \\\"his \\\" floor. Nope I told him he had to have a key. A bit uncomfortable and he was speaking into some sort of device that was hidden in his jacket??. The bellman Tony was full of advice of where to grab a bite to eat. We even went to the farmers market 2 blocks away.
Have stayed here several times and am always impressed with the modern rooms and great staff. Ended up accidentally checking in super early this time but the staff got me into a room immediately when most hotels would not have. Great views as well!

Solid hotel, my parents stayed here for a few days. This seems to be one of the better hotels in the downtown Oakland area. Pretty good about enforcing masking rules, across the street from the BART lines, and clean amenities.
