Saw this on a list of top places to go in the Bay area and it did not disappoint. I've had 3 sandwiches already; tuna melt, meatball, and pulled pork panini. All of them straight ?. This place is old school - cash only! Best deal you can get though. Oh... And I had a milkshake; strawberry ice cream with peanut butter cups added. I savored every sip. The owner's name is Jerry. Say hi to Jerry. Treat Jerry good. He adds love to his food. Watch how he treats your sandwich. All LOVE family
Best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life…and I don’t even normally like sandwiches! I find myself constantly craving them. The man working there (I’m assuming he’s the owner) is also extremely nice and welcoming.Any sandwich with the pulled pork is a winner!
I was walking down the street semi hungry and walked past this place I had to backtrack the smell coming from the cafe was just sooooo good!!! I’m not a big sandwich eater and am very picky but this was the greatest sandwich I ever had!!!! The service was awesome! The man was so kind and let us try the meatballs and pesto before closing up. I had such a good time very refreshing meeting someone who cared so deeply about his customers and food quality! Highly highly recommend stopping here and giving it a try!
Amazing shop with a more amazing owner. I travel a lot and particularly look for sandwich shops when I go to new areas, this has been the best yet. Just moved to Oakland and near this place, you’ll have all of my business for sandwiches.Edit: Unfortunately had to drop my review when I visited today and watched something go in a microwave. Any kitchen with a microwave can’t be 5 stars. ?
The place was introduced to us by my stepson who has been here before. I met the owner who is very friendly and learned that all the meats used for his sandwiches are made by him. We ordered 3 different sandwiches which was large and very tasty. I recommend this place for good food.
Great sandwiches. Only giving 4 because the waiting time was very long (there was only one person working on sandwiches and given a few people in front of us it translated into a 30 minutes wait).
Tuna melt with homemade hot sauce was an 8.5 on a 10 scale. Nicely done!
Great meatball sub, really nice owner. They make everything from scratch including the capicola (which was a special, so not always available). Excellent value for the money. Cash only so come prepared!
Dear god, food was delicious. Cuban inspired sandwich, in which the pork was almost like a Carolina vinegar based pulled pork style. Very unique and very good.
Fantastic food! The homie Isaac hooked it up with the capicola recommendation and the fantastic service.
