Their Rasta Pasta with shrimp is SO GOOD!!! Staff are so nice. And I was so lucky to stumble upon this place during a birthday party. They had some great reggae artist singing to some great tunes.
I waited for 45 minutes for my dinner. Still no dinnerLa Shawn took my order. People how were behind me in line has gotten their order & enjoy the meal. Unfortunately, my 1rst visit here to taste for for family reunion didn't work out.Very disappointed!
Island vibes inside & out. This place is the real deal. Been to both market & smoothie shops, and the quality here is consistent with them. Everything tastes fresh, and is prepared to order. The escovitched fish I got takes about 25 minutes to prepare, but it's worth the wait. Fried just right, not overdone, with a generous helping of the sides. I picked rice & peas and ground provisions. The rice & peas were light, not mushy, and well-seasoned. The brown stew chicken is excellent. That gravy could make anything taste good! The chicken was fall off the bone tender, with a good portion size. Got a couple of sea moss & sorrel drinks to wash it all down. Left the place full & happy.
Looked crazy. Jerk chicken was ok but those rice and peas were UNDERCOOKED as hell. And I ordered extra. I had to recook it. It also had basically no flavor. It was a rush job. When I called they didn't have any when I got there they didn't but they eneded up making more. The presentation was trash. And the cabbage was kinda sour. They were out of basically everything. Don't think I'll be back again.
Great, tasty and authentic Jamaican food. I’ll keep coming back. I was very pleased.
This food is lit and customer service is good and welcoming. The music is also great and lit up my Sunday stroll.Authentic Jamaican food well done and nicely seasoned. My greatest surprise was the cabbage and vegetables mix. Cooked a way only a Rastafarian can. The coconut juice was speaking volumes in the cabbage veggie mix. It’s a must have with your meal.
75-90mins wait. Not to mention they’ll run out of a sides while you’re waiting for your order. So you may or may not get what you want.
Oh man island vibes at its finest. The good is always on point. If you're around definitely try the patties and the ox tails. The outside patio had Music bumping and tables around. Good is fresh so it tends to take a minute. A must try if you're wanting that Caribbean flavor.
Best Jamaican restaurant in downtown! Amazing vegan food and if you want protein get the jerk chicken or the oxtail! You won’t regret it
Amazing!!! The jerk chicken was perfect. The goat curry was spot on. I was nervous to try a new Jamaican spot, because I’ve had some not good experiences. My normal spot didn’t have jerk chicken so I thought let me take a chance. I saw a few good reviews on here and that was enough. I ordered and I will order again. This is my new spot. My picture of the goat curry wasn’t even half of the order! Money well spent.
